Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has warned south-east governors to steer clear from the group’s Eastern Security Network following the governors’ rejection of the security outfit, Igbere TV reports.

Mr Kanu had launched the Eastern Security Network on December 12 to tackle “terrorists” threats to the south-east people.

In a statement made available to Igbere TV on Sunday, the IPOB leader said the rejection of the security outfit by the governors was a cowardly move, adding that it would not reversed.

“We condemn in very strong terms the recent shameful statement credited to Governor Dave Umahi on behalf of his fellow lily-livered and coward governors of the South-East against the newly established Eastern Security Network,” the group said.

“Such a cowardly statement is nothing but a shameful display of their irredeemable enslavement and loyalty to their caliphate slave masters, who in the first place appointed them governors.

“…But our message to the treacherous South-East governors and their South-South counterparts is that the train has since left the station and can’t reverse its cause.

“It’s pretty too late to have a rethink. The people have got what they long desired, which the cowardly governors failed to give them because of selfish political interests.”

Kanu restated that the security outfit was not a Biafra army “but a vigilante group established to protect Biafrans against terrorists.”

Being a governor does not add constitutional authority on anybody. What law in Nigeria allows the governors to standup a security outfit? ESN is a thing by the people the same manner the so-called democratic government of Nigeria is a thing by the people. It is also against the law to brand a non-violence group as a terrorist. IPOB has not hurt a housefly in Nigeria.

Exactly, I thought the same too. For now the East is of a bigger threat than the North, as far as the north has not landgrabbed the middle belt we should not see them as much a threat as the ones we share border with.

Philip effiong was in charge of a military Garrison in the North when the second coup took place.

Assumably, because as that time(declaration of Biafra), Calabar was under the then Eastern region, and the fear that the Northerners could not differentiate between an Igbo man and a Calabar man, decided to come back home untill things settle down.

On his way back, he went by road through enugu and was accosted by some Biafra army and automatically made him second in command because prior that moment, he was a very high ranked officer in the Nigeria army and also, as at then from the Eastern region.

Long story short, at the pick of the war, indigenous Igbo Biafra army started killing nor indigenous Igbo Biafra people because they do not speak like them, calming the entire Eastern region belongs to the Igbo people.

This was the reason some of the people groups rebelled against the Biafra army which was one of the reasons port Harcourt was captured.

Mind, if not the egocentrism by the Igbo's, the Biafra army would have run down the Nigeria army and eventually win the war with or without victor obanjor
