Alabama students throw out a "covid party" to see who is infected: officials from the city council told ABC that students in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, had been diagnosed with covid-19 and were attending a gathering in the city and surrounding areas, a disturbing competition to see who was infected first. It is not clear whether the students infected anyone at the party they attended.
In a statement to ABC News, city spokesman Richard rush said the city "is currently working with local agencies and organizations to ensure that we do everything we can to fight the epidemic.".
McKinley said she was concerned that some people would attend the party, but their intentions were unclear and would be exposed by infected guests.
"We're trying to break down on any side that we know," McKinley told ABC News Apparently, the infected students ignored CDC self-test guidelines for two weeks.

Sheehan stressed that violating the health ban is a misdemeanor and can be fined up to $500 per violation.
"Suspected violations of family isolation orders should be reported to law enforcement and local health authorities," she said in a statement to ABC News
As of Wednesday, Alabama had recorded 38422 cases of cowid-19, an increase of 10696 in the past 14 days, according to the State Department of public health. In Alabama, at least 947 people died of the virus.

According to the Ministry of public health, 2049 people were infected with the disease in Tuscaloosa County, where 38 people died.
News from all sides of covid came out on the same day. Alabama governor Kay Ivey announced that she would extend her "safer at home" order until July 31, as coronavirus infection continues to rise.

Under the expanded order, gymnasiums, places of entertainment, child care facilities and barber shops must comply with health and social segregation regulations. The opening rate of retail stores is 50%.
"Personal responsibility means it's everyone's responsibility," Ivey said at a news conference "If we continue to move in the wrong direction and our hospital is unable to deal with the patient's condition, then we reserve the right to return and reverse the course."
Dr. Scott Harris, an Alabama health official who joined the Ivy press conference, urged people to wear face masks, even though they were not needed across the state.
"We know that masks are not perfect and they don't stop everything," Harris said "But they do limit transmission."
