In my opinion, he said the right thing but in a wrong way.
The bitter truth is that the wealthiest and most successful people are those who are self employed, not those on paid jobs. I doubt you would see the name of any employee on the top 20 richest persons. They are all self employed.
Your certificate isn't a guarantee of living a comfortable life, it's your skill that guarantees that provided you do it the right way.

Think about it, even some people who are on a 9-5 still have side hustles, why? Because here in Africa, you can't survive without having multiple streams of income. That's the sad truth.
Education is important, infact, fundamental but learning a skill is essential.

He should have just said education is scam , and encourage the youths to go learn a trade or skill instead . These are the same people that send their kids to study abroad and get them federal jobs when they are through with their studies abroad .

using your church members seeds and offerings to live posh life and yet still insults the educated jobless youths in their midsts, I nor blame you sha , na your slaves wey nor fit use pure water and chairs take stone you as you dey spew that trash out of your mouth , encourage ni , advice ko

At the same time used 13 billion Naira (using Cappa and D'alberto) to build church auditorium when he can empower many youths with such amount.

Also, using the pulpit of God to speak words that Jesus Himself wouldn't have ultered. Using the pulpit to speak his view not God's view.

Pastor Tunde Bakare is being clever by half. Too much free money is the cause of this arrogance. Just encourage people to go into entrepreneurship, no need for the insults. More so the entrepreneurs will need to employ workers to run the business. It's high time people start collective contributions to fund a business/company/large project idea than giving it to the church.

This pastor should've directed his abuse to the system which drives businesses out of Nigeria and also supports job creation in other countries by mindless importation.

The same government is responsible for our poor university curriculum and has shown no will to create the enabling environment and laws to industrialize Nigeria given her potentials in iron and steel, aluminium smelting, car manufacturing, petroleum refining and mining etc.

Sewing agbada or making adire adds only little to a country's GDP in today's world economy.

It's only in this part of the world you can hear something like this. What else would you expect a graduate to do after spending whooping money for fees and other logistics and reading to pass his exams for 4yrs or more?. There are format of education, those that attended technical schs could be told to start something no matter how small, and even at that, Govt must have provided them with basics tools and policies to enhance efficiency. If y'all think Education does not guarantee a good job, then abolish it. In other country Education is the first achievement to a
better job.

He is absolutely right, The truth hurts though but i'd be kind to share a few business tips you can get started with.

Get busy and stop lamenting, No one cares about you to be honest.

Na when you finish NYSC your eye go clear.

No joy for street.

after brainstorming for 20 minutes.

Remember that the goal is to make daily income / passive income #NOSALARYGANG.

As time goes on i'd be sharing other business ventures I'm into, you can start something from here and build it up. You don't need anything fancy, you are in a 3rd world country...always remember that.

So let's get to it.

Keep that money.....refer to number 5, then pay your tithe to me later

1. Pure water business
get a shop with 2 solid dressers, Go to the factory and buy @ the rate of N70. Resell at the rate of 120 - 150 per bag. Supply to schools, churches, individuals...if you sell 200 bags a day, do the math.

2. POS business, (operate in a busy area but close early, e get why). This can be successfully combined with number 1. Contact baxibox.com and surepaddy (providus bank), they will put you through and supply you with the necessary hardware you need for the business... If you are starting out, you necessarily do not need a shop per se...just talk to your local carpenter to construct a small kiosk in a busy environment.

3. Biscuit business (no matter how economy be, people go chop biscuit)

4. Condom business (supply hotels and guest house across the federation)..as religious as we are as a nation we fucc like no mans business, the population keeps SOARING...

5. Local arbitrage (enter eko, look for fast moving products.strike a deal with the seller that you want to be a dropshipper..invest in a good camera phone and apps like lightroom and snapseed, join facebook 'buy and sell groups' facebook has 22M nigerians, just fucking sell something.. create fb / ig / whatsapp business / twitter / nairaland and advertise like your life depends on it).if you want to make 100k daily you need to learn facebook and instagram marketing..LOW RISK

Go here to learn Facebook marketing > trafficmastery ng. Work smart, not hard !

3. Resturant / bar & bushmeat join...during my nysc there's this joint I usually visited to drink mmanya (palmwine) or whatever its called. I spend at least 1k drinking palmy and bushmeat.

4. Foodstuff business (buy from the north, sell in the west)

5. Small chops / akara / yam / potatoes...mama chinedu don build 2 houses, she's on the third one as we speak.

6. Mini importation, this is very tricky due to the forex rate and all the bottlenecks but i will teach you how you can pass this hurdle in my next posts.

7. importation of gadgets / Phone accessories / used items... WhatsApp me for the free guide..

8. Data vending business...goto https://mobilenig.com/?ref=97 get cheap dirt data, pay bills and airtime. This business can be combined with Number 1 & 2...all you need is a mobile phone and internet connection, ATM card (GTB..most preferrable for this jab). Use jBL speakers, just dey play latest gbedu dey go..people will come around to patronize you..
I made over 300k doing this, I still dey do am sha..lol

If you want to take it online...get a good graphics designer to design something like 'BUHARI DATA SERVICES' with data prices and services u render ...lmao..u get my drift sha...then come online and start bombing...facebook...instagram...twitter..nairaland...telegram...

9. Selling of used items on jiji, nairaland, facebook market place and Olist...that your neighbour has items he has not been using for sometime...use style and ask him....take clear pictures in a nice background and upload it, out your price...your phone would start beeping from phone calls

10. DROPSHIPPING (millionaire's paradise)

Please comment and share, thank you.

ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT THE FIGHT IS AGAINST POVERTY.

If there are no business, they won't be employees, meaning people wont earn salaries, they will go hungry.

Have sense! In all you do try and have sense! If everybody opens a ‘business’ who then will be the sales manager? Who will be the clerk? Who will be the project supervisor? If everyone becomes a business owner who then works in those established businesses? Common sense isn’t so common nowadays.

It's funny the way people who are meant to lead just sometimes make things more complicated for people looking up to them..

This is Nigeria FFS!!!
An average graduate you see out there has gone through hell becoming whatever he/she is and before he graduates such has got loads of responsibilities waiting on him.

You want someone whose the parent, society has TAGGED 'Accomplished', who no longer gets pocket money or whatsoever it is called, one who is harshly facing a new life of fending for self and even catering for other responsibilities already to learn a trade...

Please who foots his bill?
Who feeds him during this period?
Who clothes, house and do other petty things for him?

When such manages to scale through, how does he establish such in a country like this

Mention trades you know that the requirements to start up is less than 50k shop/space rent inclusive asides equipments needed...

So many men of God are literally the inverse of the name God.

Peace!
You spoke my mind

1. How did you steal the money you used in learning the skills? Since you never got any job prior that, and you think no one should look for a job
2. While learning the skills, you must have stolen money to feed as well, how were you not caught

3. The clothes you were wearing while learning the skills, which shoo did you steal them and how did you avoid being caught?

4. After you finished learning the skills, who did you kill for ritual to raise money for shop and to start the business and buy equipment

5. Now, let's assume, its on the internet, you don't need money for shops, kindly tell us whose phone you stole to upload your skill sets and where did you burgled to get money for data? And how did you escape being caught?
Or you don't know that mtn 4gig data can finish within 2weeks of Instagram video uploads

Where did he say graduates shouldn’t look for jobs? Been a graduate on paper doesn’t give someone common sense, or the blueprint to success, it entails critical thinking application.
