The Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Lawan on Sunday bagged the chieftaincy title of Nwanne di na Mba 1 (Brother in Diaspora) by Igbere Crowned Council of Ndi Eze, Bende local government area of Abia State.

ABN TV reports that the Senate President was in Igbere, the hometown of Senate Chief Whip, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu for the 10th transition anniversary of his Late father, Chief Johnson Uzor Nesiegbe.

Expressing gratitude over the recognition, Lawan declared himself a proud son of Igbere.

He said by the virtue of the recognition, he can proudly stand anywhere to say he is from Igbere community in Abia State.

Conferring the title, the royal fathers said the honour is in recognition of Senator Lawan's commitment to peace and unity of the country as well as the development of Igbere community and Abia as a whole.

They also said they extend the love they have for Senator Orji Uzor Kalu to the Senate President, saying he is a friend and brother to Igbere community.

The worst Senate president being celebrated at Bende... Orji Kalu is a huge menace to igbo politics.. Hes always barrelling down on his own terms against the collective will of the people.. Face your business that you are so good at, the guy won't listen! Even his sick wife quarreled with him over his desperation to abandon his business for politics but he never listens.. He's riding against the wave in Igbo politiics at the moment and that can be catastrophic. . Others seem to have gone off the radar but Kalu and Umeahi have insisted that they are willing to sell off the igbos for their myopic political gains. . It may not end well... What has Lawan done for igboland other than to pass every bill that marginalises the Igbo?
