I wish to congratulate the Niger Delta students over the conditional suspension of the Academic Staff Union of Universities ( ASUU) industrial actions.

The National leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities ( ASUU) had in February 2020, a month before embarking on industrial actions over failure of Government to meet her demands, rolled out four (4) Cardinal points or reasons for which the group will be embarking on strike action, which were listed to be as follows:

1. Payment of Earned Academic Allowance ( EÀA): that the Federal Government should pay their withheld Salaries through other legitimate means other than the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Systems ( IPPIS). continue reading
