Despite the despondency of 2020, it still gave us some memorable and awesome games to help us pass time during the extensive quarantine. With the arrival the Playstation 5 and the Xbox Series X, there's no doubt that 2021 is gonna be a great year for gamers.

In no particular order here is the list of games were more anticipated about in 2021.

Far Cry 6

The sixth instalment of the Far Cry series takes place on a fiction Caribean Island of Yara. the island is ruled as a dictatorship by Antón Castillo also known as"El Presidente" (portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito), who is raising his son Diego (Anthony Gonzalez) to follow in his rule. The player takes the role of Dani Rojas, a guerrilla soldier who attempts to restore their nation back to its former glory.

Hitman 3

Agent 47 back again to carry out contracted assassinations of criminal targets across the globe. The base game features six new locations including Dubai, Berlin, Chongqing and Dartmoor. Players who played Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 (2018) will be able to import their progress, levels and maps to Hitman 3.

Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West is the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn (2017), it continues the story of Aloy a young huntress of the Nora tribe sent on a quest to he Forbidden West to find the source of a mysterious plague that kills all it infects. On her journey across these uncharted lands, Aloy encounters hostile regions ravaged by massive storms and occupied by dangerous enemies and lethal machines.

Hogwarts Legacy

This is an action role-playing game developed by Avalanche Software. Set in the late 1800s in the Wizarding World, the player will be able to choose their Hogwarts House and attend classes at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, you'll also be able to explore an open world consisting of locations including the Forbidden Forest and Hogsmeade Village.

Deathloop

This is a First-person action-adventure game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. Deathloop transports you into a mysterious island of Blackreef, where an external struggle between two extraordinary assassins will determine the island's future. You play as Colt, an assassin that is stuck in a time loop and you must find a way to put an end to the time loop.
