Electrical engineering is the best engineering course you can study in this computer age. However if you are yet to go to the university, put in for computer science.

Is a very good course and good combination provided you can do your own part by getting relevant practical skills before graduation. It is even easy to start making money right from when you are in school studying the course if you are serious and hard-working type. With this course, you can quickly become self-employed or get good jobs provided you are loaded with relevant skills.

Even without electronic attached to it, computer engineering alone also deals with electronic and embedded systems. It connects electrical electronic engineering with computer science; it dwells more on hardware and software. Through it; you can become automation engineer, network engineer, telecommunication engineer, software engineer etc

Try to balance when studying the course by developing your interest in both hardware and software, never have a mind to specialize at this stage. From master or phd, level, you can be talking about specialization; and never run away from programming; try to love embedded and business programming if you desire to study the course.

If you know software development, even if there is no job, you can develop eco-system for your own programming business by creating different android, ios, web app and even iot based technologies and sell your market around the world from the comfort of your room. Without job, you can as well work as freelancer in as much as you get require skills; and make millions within short time.

Brilliant people are too many in that field, you must be serious and do away with too much entertainment, game, watching too much movies and abuse of social media that can waste lots of your productive times; and because there are too many things to study on your own which demand lots of time that can never be shared with too much entertainment and social media abuse.

Even if you are genius and good in theory, this is a course you must balance with practical. If you are not loaded with relevant skills after graduation, sorry, nobody will need your service and you will not even help yourself not to talk of people around you. If you are lazy type, please, don't go for it. Look for areas you are strong and choose a course for yourself in that area
