About I50 bandits wielding AK-47 on 50 motorcycles attack Kaya village in Giwa Local government of kaduna state, killing 15 villagers in two-days killing frenzy, leaving nine others with various gun shot wounds.

A statement sign by kaduna state commissioner for internal security and Home affairs, Samuel Aruwan, on Sunday said the villagers retaliated by killing four suspect bandits, even as a several shops, five vehicles and some motorcycles were burnt down by the bandits.

The injured People have been taken to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital shika for treatment.

According to Aruna ,"the military and others security agency have informed kaduna government that several lives were lost in a series of killing and counter-killing in Kaya community, Giwa local government area of kaduna central senatorial District of kaduna state, which shares a boundary with Hayin kaura village of Dandume local government area of Katsina state.

" According to the security brief, the violence began on 1st January , 2021 , when armed bandits attacked Kaya town and kidnapped some locals including two married women. The bandits were fiercely pursued by the combined terms of volunteers from Kaya , and from Hayin Kaura village of Katsina state, in keeping with their practice of supporting security efforts in their respective communities.

'The bandits in the course of the confrontation kidnapped and killed one Shamsu Umar, a leader of the Kaya volunteers. His corpse was found on the 2nd of January 2021 after search operation in the forest.

On the same day , after recovery of the corpse, unidentified person came across some herders, and in apparent retaliation for the killing of Shamsu Umar, killed four of them , listed as fellows: Musa lawal, Ibrahim Sani, Haruna Umar, Idi isah.

"At around 6:30pm yesterday , January 2, 2021, over 50 motorcycles each carring three men wielding AK-47 rifles, storm Kaya town in Giwa local government and began shooting sporadically. Troops of the Nigerian Army and police operatives were quickly deployed to the location , along with an air platform of the Nigerian Air Force.

"Sadly, following locals we're killed: Hudu Shafiu, Madaro Maidaki, Ibrahim Hamiea, Ibrahim Muhammad maidoyo, kabiru maitakalmi, Ibrahim kayawa, Danladi Daiyabu, zubairu mailemu, Awwalu yahaya, Audu sarka and Maharuzu Adamu. Three unidentified corpses were also recovered , said to be drivers in transit from funtua, Katsina state.

"Similarly , the following persons were sustain bullet wounds and receiving medical attention at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) Shika: Mujahideen Muhammad, sulaiman mustapha Bashir, Ibrahim sulaiman, Nuhu Idris, Alkassim Ismail, Nafi'u sirajo, Musa Magaji, Muhammad Salisu Kaya, Musa Ibrahim.

"After the attack, security agencies confirmed that several shops , five vehicles and some motorcycles were burnt by the attackers.

" The Governor of kaduna state, Malam Nasir El-Rufai , who was involved in coordinating responses to the attack on Saturday night, condoled the families that lost their loved ones and prayed for the repose of thier souls.

As he has repeatedly done, the Governor appealed earnestly for recourse to the law as a main solution to violence , killing and counter- killings by aggrieved group and individuals . The Governor expressed deep concern, tasked security agencies to carry out extensive investigation in the circumstances leading to the killings.

Southerners can't see the ripple effects of the destruction up north. Let me break it down for clarity.
As robbery and destruction of properties continue unabated in the North, those who survive will move down into the middle belt and South and because they're already very poor, will be desperate to survive. How else will they survive when things are even costlier down South? They will resort to criminality and innocent southerners will suffer for it. The most terrible thing about the whole thing is that the fulani led Nigeria security who refused to end the criminality up north will still protect these ones that continued the criminality down South. Who now suffers it? Innocent southerners. If a southern soldier wants to attack the criminals in the North, he'll be accused to killing their people and on another hand might be sold out to the criminals. Keep quiet in the face of such plunder means agreeing to be dehumanized in your own land. Praying over it solves nothing as violent criminals are not stopped by prayers only demons are stopped by such. The most practical solution is the division of Nigeria so fulani politicians can pamper those criminals and terrorists as much as they want within their own country. If any of such fulani criminals cross over in our territory by chance, he'd be given the treatment that he deserves.
