Media personality, Michael Effiong compares the manner at which the US handled the invasion of its Capitol Hill Building with the way the Nigerian government handled the infamous mace theft in 2018. The radio presenter who is regular with Kpoko FM Warri, wrote this on his Facebook wall;

"The first photo is that of Adam Johnson that was seen moving away with Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s lectern. While the second photo is that of Richard Barnett who sat on the seat of Pelosi and placed his leg on her desk like a chairman. Both rioters have been tracked and arrested by the US security. They are likely to face years in prison. This is America.
Lets come back to Nigeria, those angry fellows that invaded our national assembly and took away our reverend mace where are they now?
The person that sponsor them where is he now?
This is a case of two nations dealing with similar issue in a different way. This is NIgeria."
