3. Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso. 77yrs. In office since 1979
4. Uganda Yoweri Museveni. 76yrs. In office since 1986.
They all have ran for re-election or have expressed interest to run again.

Even if I say it shall not be well with them,it’s already well with them.Even if I say thunder should fire them ,they have already lived to a ripe age.

My plea is,may God never allow them see even the gate of heaven .....

Musoveni started out like Bobi Wine. He fought the dictatorial and oppressive regimes of Idi Amin and Obote. He got power and became worse than both of them.

They are not president they are principalities

I feel Sassou-Nguesso should not be in the top 4 or even 5.

True, he first came to power in 1979, but then he was booted out in 1992 and he remained outside of the presidency until a brief civil war ensured that he came back to power in 1997. So, for a period of 5 years, from 1992 to 1997, Nguesso wasn't president.

So, his current reign/tenure as Rep. of Congo actually started in 1997.

If I were to make a list, it would look like this. Top 8:

1. Teodoro Obiang-Nguema of Eq. Guinea- 1979 till date

2. Paul Biya-Cameroon- since 1982

3. Yuweri Kagota Museveni- UG- since 1986

4. Idris Derby Itno- TChad- since 1992

O ga ooo ...obj is the one man that have successfully use more than 8yrs in total as military and civilian president
