Hello everyone at the end of this video you are going to learn when to use a pile foundation on structures and the importance of using these pile foundations. Pile foundations are one of the most commonly used deep foundation in structures.
In pile foundations, we have the piles which are embedded inside the foundation after boring a hole of a certain diameter. And A pile is a long slender foundation member and these piles can be made of timber and structural steel or they can be made of concrete which might be cast – in – situ (Cast – in – situ means that the piles are made or cast on the construction site) and these piles are driven which act as a structural member to transfer the load of the structure to a required depth in deep foundations carrying a load which may be vertical or lateral load or they can both be vertical and lateral loads.
