Crushed Rock is an abandoned quarry in Mpape, Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. After 33 years of operation, Crushed Rock was closed in 2010. The quarry flooded after its closure, forming a quarry lake. Crushed Rocks became a popular tourist attraction during the 2020 COVID19 lockdown. Mpape is a fracture-prone area of Abuja and has experienced tremors as recently as 2018. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=263hpGm3f5E 2 Likes |
