In those days, it was known as a convict depot, which was a temporary prison, detaining those who were sentenced to be transported to one of a few far-flung corners of the British Empire, until a ship was procured for their journey..


Research about diz prison before it was shutdown in 2004 it was the prison Alcatraz was modelled after infact its on record this was the only prison in the history of the world where prisoners broke out and begged to go back in , hilariously the then prison boss charged them fees to get back into the prison.. I visited last year summer with my family .. it’s a place where sadness will filled ur mind and ofcourse u will understand why no one could escape except for suicide..
