Note: not all those people you see in church with big cars and dress well earn big. Trust me them fit don immerse themselves into huge debt just to show off in church. I know some of them wey I get more cash in my acct pass because me no dey pay tithe, seed or borrow or spend above my means. What am telling you is fact. As a Naija newcomer, as you hold unto Ur naija upbringing, put efforts in immersing urself in the culture and people of Ur new home. You will be surprised how fast you will grow. Every Nigerian abroad must not be doctor, nurse, care giver or engineer. Mingling with other ethnicity might not be easy but after some time you will get to understand how things work on a wider society. Join political party for grassroots if you have passport, try side business, be free and not be constantly in competition with Nigerians. Not being in a Nigerian church helps with these things

London is a Cosmopolitan City with diverse nationalities and ethnic blends. Nigerians are just one of these groups of people.

Tagging London as Lagos Phase II doesn't make sense and you are way off mark, as they both have their unique identities. If you don't want to live in London, you can live in other Cities in the UK...and that could have it's pros and cons regarding integration and opportunities.

You mentioned Nigerian mentality, please don't join the group of people that will secure a 6 month visa and start bashing their country of origin and acting 'whiter than the whites', with manufactured foreign accents.

If you don't like a place, find another. Don't go bashing and basing your judgement on hearsay.

You can’t just conclude all Nigerian churches are bad
This particular church is a good one and really helps it’s members
They allowed my sister to bring her twins to their daycare for two years without paying
Even now what the are paying is below the normal rates
The help new immigrants to become comfortable
And can even be coming to your house to take you to church if you don’t have a car
The assist you a lot
It’s really a nice church
Even my son I have registered him to their daycare without paying but due to corona he has not been going

It’s a small church so no much gossip

If you want to see the latest Lexus, Acura, Mercedes e.t.c just drive to a Nigerian church in the abroad. Same for fashionistas or if you like comparing your house, kids, properties, occupation e.t.c with others in the church

I attend Oyinbo church. Nobody cares what you drive or what you wear or how big your house is.

Somebody is seriously funding the day care. So when it's your turn to fund it, don't see it as Pastor feeding fat from You.

The socialization too get class. I have heard of situations where other Specialist Physicians had parties but did not invite Family physicians. Levels dey for socialization in some cases

It's to ur advantage if u attend a nigerian church wen in a foreign country cos if u have issues as a fresh immigrant then some of the members can help u.what is left for u is try and an identify which church has responsible members and apart from church make friends with nigerians wen u are in a foreign country .I don't just open up to any nigerian u see cos some would be irresponsible but there would be level headed ones who could help u.if u avoiding ur fellow country man then u just doin urself
