1999 CONSTITUTION: A COUNTRY CANNOT LIVE ON FALSEHOOD - Nwodo

Chief Nnia Nwodo was the Minister of Information in the military junta that created and imposed the 1999 Constitution on Nigerians by Decree No 24 of 1999. He asserts that the imposed 1999 Constitution was even kept away from his Ministry of Information until the military-installed president, retired General Olusegun Obasanjo was sworn into office. Nigeria's 4th Republic was thus kicked off without any Nigerian being aware of what the nation's new constitution looked like.

This is a damning revelation indeed! How many Nigerians are aware of this fact about their country's constitution? What are you going to do about making sure that your country is run with a constitution that "We the people..." believe in?

My people of Middle Belt and South, as NINAS, the alliance that we are in together and that gives us together the power to decide what happens in our own ancestral lands, and no longer Arewa deciding it let us key into this Constitutional Force Majeure to decommission the 1999 Constitution that NINAS activated. We see from every side that this 1999 Constitution is what Fulani/Arewa are using to keep us enslaved, as they carry out their Ahmadu Bello's vision against. What then are we waiting for? Is there anybody who has actually DONE SOMETHING to throw out this 1999 Constitution except for NINAS?

Enough is enough! Political parties cannot go to general elections in 2023 under this 1999 Constitution to renew our enslavement. They must CLOSE SHOP so that we fix this situation and get new Constitutions. That must happen first and foremost.
