We don't have anywhere near enough church's. The will of God is for all men to come to Him. As long as there people out there on Sunday not attending any church, there is room for more churches.
Once again, the Church is not the expensive structures you build with the people's money while majority of the people are in abject poverty, of what use is gigantic structure when over 60% of the people are living below a dollar in a day?
I'm not carried away by the multitude that flocks in everyday, the fact is the poverty in the land have encouraged that........hence people don't go to church because of God but for what they can get, .....and the poverty/insecurity keep increasing........
If the Church was impacting the society, the crime rate would be reduced and we will have a better society.......our God is not a God of competition

Bishop David Oyedepo gave 800 youth full scholarship to attend Landmark University in 2010. There are many humanitarian services running in the Church System to help and cater to the needs of church members and non members alike.

What we hear or read about Bishop Oyedepo is like a drop of water in the ocean. The big question that can help answer your curiosity is: how and why is the church membership soaring?

There is no doubt we need factories in Nigeria to create jobs for many unemployed youth; but then, we should appreciate and applaud humanitarian services embarked upon by a few people who announce their projects publicly.

Who do you suppose make up the maintenance team of the mega churches in Nigeria; foreigners? No! They are Nigerians.

There is a world class and highly subsidised hospital built by Bishop David Oyedepo in the city of Omu Aran, Kwara state. I suppose you are not aware of it and many other humanitarian services by the bishop, because you are an outsider,

The funny thing here is majority of the people crying on this thread won't contribute 1 naira to the building project grin grin grin

Those making the contributions have not come to complain, they've also never gone to ask anyone here for money grin His church members around me are doing very well for themselves; no tears. And you lots want them to abandon what works for them for your miserable lives of abject poverty and perpetual tears?? Na ment? grin

If you want these people to abandon Oyedepo for whatever it is you believe in, then start showing proofs. How can you convince them to abandon Oyedepo when majority of them are doing better than Buhari's zombies?

I remember the day I was watching the apprentice,a reality show in UK,were you will be invited by a panel of investors and economists to present a business plan,if it's feasible they will invest in it,a Nigerian came and presented a perfect business plan of opening a church and he presented the plan so clearly and perfectly that one of the panelists(I can't recall the name but he is a millionaire and the owner of Tottenham Hotspur FC)was monetarily carried away by the financial projections, the guy even asked the panelists if any of them has a private jet, which answer was no,but he told them that many church's in Nigeria has jets,if you still doubt if church's are not a well packaged business, why are they not investing in hospitals, vocational centres, training institute, farms, etc, they know we're the money is,the plan was rejected on the basis of morality and ethics, otherwise it is a good investment,I will not doubt if that millionaire will contact that guy behind the scene,I saw the shine of greed in his eyes.
That sounds like Sharks not apprentice. A very enlightening program for biz minded people.

actually, the OP didn't upload any picture of the proposed project. what he uploaded are current structures built years ago... I live around there and often go in there as often as possible.

But the project is real... The amount of project this man is handling though... I dey shock how him go take finish am...
Donations dey come in na....A church that have more than 5million members only in Nigeria and it's in different countries now around d world...do a simple maths like 500naira x 1million members just a Sunday that's whopping 500million... a single big man member can even donate 10million once

I never said the church is limited to the building so stop replying to figments of your imagination.
As for the needy, it makes no sense to use 10% to do via the church what 90% cannot do personally. That's witchcraft logic.

when has it become the preriority of Churches to be building industries and creating employments? Show me anywhere in the world and in Bible that the church is known to build industries and create employments? How many industries and employment has Solomon created before he built a Temple with Gold?

Since you've mentioned Bible then I'll like to ask you some questions...
What model of car did Jesus Christ drove while he was on earth?
What was the size of the auditorium that the disciples constructed and the location?
Since Jesus walked on foot and only drove a young donkey once then why can't your daddy G.O's be riding donkeys rather than flashy cars and even private jets?

This is 21st century bro and you shouldn't be comparing Solomon's world to ours. Can you even compare the opportunities available in the 1970's to the ones available today?
Do we have to keep waiting on the government to create employments while the churches won't even want to pay tax yet they are making millions on a weekly bases. Where do you expect your members who are looking for employment to get a job from?

We are busy building big church auditoriums yet our country is in a mess, are you sure we are truly serving God or we are only deceiving ourselves.
Until you people understand that morality makes a man and not religion then we will start having a good life but before then let us keep wallowing in our deep shit.
