For Immediate Release BRAINS AND HAMMERS PAYS COMPENSATION TO HOST COMMUNITIES OF BUNGALOW CITY Brains and Hammers Ltd, Nigeria’s leading Infrastructure, Hospitality, commercial, and residential real estate company, has fulfilled yet another aspect of its community relations initiative by paying compensation to the members of the host communities of the second phase of its “Bungalow City” project in Abuja. The company disclosed this at a ceremony marking the cheque presentation to the host communities. Making the presentation to the host communities on behalf of Brains and Hammers, Niger-State Commissioner for Housing, Alhaji Muktari Na-sale, praised the company for taking up the challenge of providing affordable houses for Nigerians. He also noted that the timely payment of compensation fulfills one of the core components of the company’s sustainability initiative focused on Technology, Education, Health Care, and Community Relations (TECH.) The Commissioner said, “The public-private partnership between the government of Niger-State and Brains and Hammers on the provision of affordable housing through the “Bungalow City” scheme is a confirmation of what is possible when government and the private sector work together. It is even more fulfilling to know that Brains and Hammers is a Nigerian company providing the solution to a major challenge in the country.” Speaking for the host communities, the Dakachi Jibi (district head of Jibi,) Alhaji Dahiru Daudu, thanked the company for the timely payment of the compensation. He also pledged continued support to the company in her quest to actualize its target of providing over five thousand (5000) housing units in the area. This project is a boost for the community, state, and country at large. In his opening remarks, Brains and Hammers Chief Operating Officer, Affordable Housing (North,) Mallam Kabir Gano, praised the partnership between the host communities and the company and solicited their continuous support as the project enters a rapidly expanding phase 2. Mallam Gano said, “We have resolved to provide affordable houses for Nigerians complete with all the amenities that make for meaningful living. With a vision to turn hinterlands into suburbs, we have embarked on an ambitious target of building affordable cities across the country. We started with the Brains and Hammers City in the Life Camp area of Abuja, and now, Bungalow city, our second affordable city initiative. We are proud of what we have achieved with both projects in just over three years.” Also present at the event were the Niger-State Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Land and Housing, TPL A. Hussain, the District head of Alhaji Dahiru Daudu, and the council chairman of Tafa, Hon. Ibrahim Mami Ijah.
