KHALIL GIBRAN @ 90 POETRY AND ART ANTHOLOGY
CALL FOR ENTRIES: ANTHOLOGY OF POEMS AND ART WORKS IN COMMEMORATION OF 90 YEARS OF KHALIL GIBRAN’S DEATH”.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
THEME(S): LOVE, DEATH AND LIFE – (ARTICLES AND ESSAYS ON KHALIL GIBRAN ARE ALSO WELCOME
1. Only one entry is allowed per entrant (Poem (poet) and Art Work (Artist)).
2. Poets are only allowed to write on any of these three themes, Love, Death and life and submitted artworks also must focus on the mentioned themes
3. Entrants can write on personal experience
4. Entry must be written in English Language
5. Entry should be brief: a maximum of 40 lines for poetry
6. Author’s information -Name, age, gender, location, phone number, school, permission to publish your work in one or two sentences, and a short bio of no more than 40 words should be included in the submission.
7. Entry must be type-written and sent in the body of the mail; NOT AS AN ATTACHMENT. Entries sent as attachment will be automatically disqualified.
8. Entry must be the original work of the entrant. Any indication of plagiarism leads to disqualification and must not be published in any other anthology(ies)
9. All entries should be sent on or before February 28, 2021. Late entries will be disregarded.
10. Entries should be submitted to: khalilgibransocietyng@gmail.com and also copy societyofyoungnigerianwriters@gmail.com
11. The subject of the email should be ‘POETRY AND ART ANTHOLOGY IN HONOUR OF KHALIL GIBRAN @ 90
12. Please note that only works that comply with the submission guidelines will be selected and published.
13. Entries are welcome from all over the world
14. Only well edited entries will be published

BENEFITS:

1. All successful and shortlisted entries will be published in the proposed khalil Gibran @ 90
Poetry and Art Anthology (Electronic) Anthology.
2. Published works will also be uploaded on both the Gibran National Committee’s Website and that of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers.
3. Certificate of participation will be awarded to all entrants.
4. Certificates of excellence will be awarded to only the shortlisted/published entrants.
5. Automatic/free membership and admission into the Khalil Gibran Society for the published entrants.
6. Only published entries will be read at the Khalil Gibran @ 90 National Reading/Art Exhibition Day
