MILITARY MADNESS:Army Major Invades Automobile Shop With Men,Beats Up Dealers,Customers,Seizes 2 Vehicles At Gunpoint

@VONNEWS

At a time when the Nigerian military is poised to reposition for global best practices, one of its own, Dirisu Ahmed, a Major, had recently tarnished the good name of the Nigerian Army by barbarically and lawlessly behaving untrained in Lagos.

 The unruly major had on 18 January,2021 ordered some Military Police men to go to a car port along the popular Lagos Badagry expressway, belonging to one Mr.Uzezi Ephraim, to go get a Toyota bus worth 4.5 million naira with the guise that their boss wanted to purchase it.

As instructed, the Military Police men in uniforms arrived the auto place and tricked Uzezi's boys to test-drive the bus while they also jumped into the vehicle.

While testing, the military officers directed them to head towards the Ojo Barracks , surprised, the auto dealers asked why and the officers retorted saying that their boss was to confirm the vehicle's efficiency.

 At a point of the road, the vehicle developed a mechanical fault and the officers angrily alighted and left, situation which forced the driver and colleague to reverse.

According to Uzezi,CEO of the car port, later that day, Major Dirisu stormed the car port with over six uniformed and unniformed officers, brandishing a pistol, threatened,beat up customers and workers, and eventually commanded his men to seize 2 camry cars of different models.
The lawless officers also forced Uzezi's workers, even customers into these cars and zoomed off.

VONN reporter gathered that the army officers also carted away vehicles' documents and keys belonging to other vehicles, Dirisu and his men also drove their captors to the Ojo barracks, precisely to the office of the provost.

 At the provost office, they were told that the action was due to a debt of 1.5 million naira owed Dirisu by one Festus who was his old schoolmate, whom he gave the sum to buy him a car, which he never did.
Mr.Uzezi and others were told that the vehicles will remain their until Dirisu gets his money from Festus. According to Uzezi, Major Dirisu merely paid a punitive expedition to his company and punished innocent people.

Speaking, Uzezi said, "Festus is a mere hustler who occasionally brought buyers to the car stand, he is not a staff or partner of mine . From all indications, he had a transaction with Dirisu a year before we ever met him."The debt has nothing to with Ephraim Motors"

Mr. Uzezi said that sequel to this development he had arrested Festus and taken him to two different police stations(Okoko and Isashi divisions), from where he was released after Dirisu refused to appear for Festus despite police invitations.
Further, Festus confessed to the debt and revealed that he has 500,000 naira to deposit to Dirisu as an instalment to repay his debt.
However, Uzezi said he has reported the matter to the MP office in Apapa and had sent a petition to Zone 2 police command, without Major Dirisu responding.
He therefore calls on relevant authorities to intervene to save him from the problem created by the continual seizure of the vehicles that belong to people who are already pressing for their vehicles.
 Uzezi stressed that Major Dirisu Ahmed serves in PortHarcourt according to disclossures from Festus.

This is truly maddness, if indeed d major was duped, i think he should have employed legal means to address his grievances not by resorting to rascallities like a thug. But business men should beware of people they employ 2 do osoahia in their shops to avoid stories like dis. But dat does nt give d major the right to take laws into his hands bt d major problem we have in dis country is d weak judicial institution
