• Appraisal: this can be defined as determining the value of a property. This can be done by comparing the sales price of properties in that area.

• Amortization: is the process of combining both interest and principal in payment, rather than simply paying off interest at the start. This allows you to build more equity in the property early on.

• Inspection: are required once a potential buyer makes an offer. The purpose is to check that the property is in good shape.

• Due diligence: is a period of time where a buyer fully examine a property, often by hiring experts to inspect the property, perform tests etc so that a buyer may decide on how to proceed.

• ROI( Return On Investment): refers to the measurement of the net profit of an investment property, relative to its total cost. A high ROI indicates favorable yields for the investor.
