The creator of the first ATM machine is John Shepherd-Barron who one day after work was too late to get to his bank which had already closed.

Later that night while relaxing in the bath an idea came to him of a vending machine (that was in the lobby and he went by daily) dispensing cash instead of chocolate bars!

This new technology would allow people to have access to their money any hour, any place and would make life so much easier.
