Bros, you are indeed unenlightened and i will prove it. Firstly, we are not talking of a regular anyday Python, we are talking about a python that grew to this huge size with maybe longevity due to circumstances we don't know about now that its dead. I had your belief and thought process some 20 years ago and i was almost calling in to AIT/Channels (cant remember now) on a TV station where they analized how a construction worker killed a rare antelope that was at the lekki conservation area for food. The rare antelope was brought in from i believe Calabar. I was actually angry at the double standards and how the Presenter and the wildlife conservationist talked about how the construction worker was gainfully employed and how the kids that usually go to the Lekki conservation center will miss "Tunde" or whatever name they gave the antelope. I wanted to know what kids will miss the antelope, the kids endangered everyday selling pure water and kpekere in lagos traffic or those that trek long distances in the desert or ride in overcrowded buses or Canoes. I get it @Brastilava, I equally knew then, the antelope had a better more dignified transportation from Calabar to lagos than the construction worker has going to work everyday in Lagos. So, yes i get it, that is not what i am talking about at all. I am talking about our stupidity and reactive ways of reality without pausing to look at the big picture and always doing things the same way forever. True people all over the world has always gone hunting and used their hunts as food however that has reduced drastically in developed world. People study things now before they even consume and eat them. This snake might have way more benefit than food. Think beyond your stomach and grow my brother. Gorillas are so many in African forests, they kill people and attack farmlands. Its this same channels that studies animals that found out if you encounter a gorilla, you don't have to run cos it will most probably outrun you and still harm you or kill you. All you have to do is lie down or sit down and stay quiet, the gorilla will most times just go on its way, now if youre standing, its direct challenge to the gorilla and you are now confronting the gorilla for all the gorilla babes so guess what you with your lack of education and lack of common sense will get maimed, beaten and in worse case scenarios, killed even and me i know you are just plain stupid and not interested in female gorillas..... you see where your over sabi fit land you now? Imagine, say gorilla panel beat you cos of gorilla babes then the gorilla babe might check out your penis and beat you on top cos of its small size...lol. Stop eating everything as food my broda, na so Covid take start oh.

More pseudo-education and enlightenment babble, I'm sure. I won't lie to you, I didn't read a word of it.

You are neither educated nor enlightened if that is the kind of text you expect me to read.

You and the Mpi seborrhic made no sense on this topic.

My point remains:

It is not only Nigerians that have been killing and eating snakes for countless millennia before national geographic started and, yet, there are still millions of snakes crawling worldwide.
Give them your methane meats if it bothers you so much.

The shoe I am seeing there must be your dad's. That shoe cannot spoil, man. I can see yours under the shoe. There's a brown smell oozing out of it.

I can see your mum's slippers there too. Clearly, she has gone to buy pepper and nchaanwu for this great feast. And I'm sure it's charcoal we cooking with.

You didn't even remove the water bottles for fetching ororo on the sofa.

I'm coming with one jar of overnight tumbo, and some wooden cup..with alligator pepper and ugba.

I can also see that you were the one who carried it home, hence the sachet water nylon lying on the floor you drank when you dropped it.

Is your sister, Titi, my lovely girlfriend around?

You could have made a lot of money if u hadn't killed that snake.
Catching it and sending the pics alone to NatGeo or conservation groups worldwide would have even earned your dad, family, town and state fame.No joking.
They would have called and done research to find out if it was an endangered species to preserve.
Nigerians are very ignorant and poorly educated when it comes to widelife.
Pythons are not endangered species, they are actually invasive species, y'all stop with this talks. You know how many eggs pythons lay in a go? You should do the reading up.

Stop the insults abeg! He's only viewing the whole episode from another angle and he shouldn't necessarily belong to your general school of thought. All pythons are non venomous and quite slow. It appears intimidating but can be trapped. Buratai even has a farm in Biu where he rares and handles them.
Insults??...but it's alright for him to call Nigerians ignorant and poorly educated? Usual hypocrisy?

Please read his post again. He only said when it comes to Wildlife, Nigerians are poorly educated and ignorant. Sincerely, I think we are. That's why everyone sees every animal as food irrespective of whether they are endangered or not. We even hardly have any big animals like elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards,.. just to name but a few that are traditionally endemic to places like Nigeria, left in our so-called reserves. No thanks to our mentality.

We'll, I come in peace.

Huge python.

I read the comments...

1. The python didn't just eat anything. That's its normal size. With the look of things, it feeds well to be so huge... Plus, it's been in the area for years.

2. That python is small that it cannot successfully kill that dude. The dude has to be very sick for it to coil him up and kill him.
Also, to swallow the dude, that python needs to be as long as the reticulated python, which is endemic to South East Asia.
