Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lagos

Job Brief:

A Christian Organization is looking for an Accountant to manage its financial transactions and processes. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in this role, and should be honest, analytical, detail-oriented, and possess good presentation skills with the ability to successfully communicate complex quantitative data to management.
Ultimately, you will ensure the Organization’s finances run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities


Maintaining accurate financial records
Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Document all financial transactions
Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
Assist management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.


Requirements

BSc in Accounting, Finance or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant
Knowledge of accounting software
Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
Good analytical and communication skills
Strong attention to details
Ability to work on weekends
ICAN/ACCA certification
