Yes I opened a proper account at the baobab bank using my national id, nepa bill & 2 passports photograph after which an account number where the funds will be disbursed in was generated. I was also asked to download the bank app on my mobile phone which I did so I can transfer directly to my other bank accounts when the loan comes in. My advice for everyone who needs this loan is to visit any of their branches. The online form is just formality, the real thing is done at the bank where you account number will be generated

I did the same too and I already have my account number but please when I downloaded the app.. I put my phone number and DOB as required,it didn't went through... Please were you able to activate the app on your phone?

Yes I activated the app on my phone while still at the bank, maybe you should try revisiting the bank to make a complain

Please if anyone here have number anybody I can contact in nyif under npfmb, it is over a month now that I have opened account and yet I haven't been credited. I called the number in the mail sent to me but the lady said that she doesn't know anything about disbursement.

For those of us who are under Baobab MFB, I suggest we call the number attached to the text and let them know how difficult physically opening an account in one of their branches will be for us, especially those of us in states/regions where they don't have a branch.

We can also follow them on Twitter and Facebook and make this complaint. Though have been searching for their Twitter handle without success, only saw a a couple of tweets about them.

Please guys! Let's give this a shot.

Thank you very much. I’ve said it, the message is clear; either visit the bank or fill the form online and someone is saying if you don’t go to the bank to open account then it won’t work. This people don’t have any branch in the east, so what would the people from the east do. I had to call the customer care and they said those that filled the form, that they are already opening their accounts, you’re going to be giving them double work sef cos if you’ve opened in a bank branch and then those handling online forms will try opening for you again and will realize you already have an account

I went to baobab today to do my findings concerning tin & account number which I left blank on my online form and was told I needed to create an account with them where the money will be disbursed in which I did. Guys it's best to go to the bank to do things physically to avoid stories of not been paid later

Am having the same issue right here. Don't understand the disbursement delay.

Wahala de ooh... I called their customers care now. The lady said After the account opening that you must come to their office for physical account verification.. that is the instructions from the ministry

I have made up my mind to travel to Lagos soon. God help us All Amen

Hello Lapo, disbursement continues this week. However, there is a new development.
If the loan approved for you ranges from 500k to 2M, please go back to them and open a Zenith Bank account. This is because, transfer limit for LAPO is between 250-300k. And you get charged for it.
With a Zenith account (affiliate with Lapo), you get your complete fund transferred to that Zenith account number from LAPO.
Please note that, if you have a Zenith Bank account, you will need NOT to open the account. Happy Expectation this week (Remember me o).

That's a long journey to undertake. Why not get someone in LAGOS to go to their bank and validate if you really need to be there. Some sort of a reconnaissance survey or mission before traveling.

I went to their branch here in Ìbàdàn. Bodija to be precise. The form they gave me to fill is not that different from the one that I saw online. I submitted two passport photographs, one utility bill and national ID card. I asked them what next and they said they will get back to me. I don't think there is any physical verification.
