CCP has always been eager to consolidate the varied identities of Chinese people under one National identity, even if it means waging a racial war against it's own citizens. This is exactly why the CCP is systematically destroying the cultural roots of Uighurs, Mongols and even Tibetans.

In its long list of sins, the CCP has added another one recently. It has been developing facial recognition software in collaboration with tech giants with the aim of racial segregation. This is a very alarming situation and a prelude for a genocide.

A recent patent application by Chinese firm Huawei in collaboration with the CCP included software covertly had Uighur detection analytics. According to recent reports, other Chinese firms are too involved in building technology to improve minority detection. Even the trend is alarming as this can be used by other countries to cleanse its population the Nazi way.

Artificial Intelligence or AI and facial recognition software is already used extensively in China for security purposes. These camera systems can classify if a person is an Uighur, Han or other minorities.

Considering the softwares specifically recognise Uighurs while grouping rest of the minorities into "other", it is clear the CCP is developing racist technology to track and segregate Uighurs.

Just last month, the Chinese facial recognition startup - Megvii, was caught red handed testing software with "Uighur Alarm". This is also the exact reason why famed footballer Griezmann cut off his ties with Huawei. In fact, many leading China security camera firms offer ' Uighur analytics', including the country's three largest: Hikvision, Dahua, and Uniview.

Facing massive backlash, Huawei has decided to take back the patent and issued an apology. Clearly, this isn't enough. An apology after getting caught red handed means nothing. Racial recognition features shouldn't have been a part of the software in the first place.

Additionally, Huawei backtracking doesn't mean that CCP will abandon its aim to ethnically cleanse Uighurs. Many alternative firms would be vying for the same contract. Other Chinese firms like SenseTime, Alibaba, and Baidu are still in the line to develop such softwares.

Even Megvii, after getting caught claimed that it's software wasn't designed to recognize and label ethnic groups. A simple reading of the patent application tells us that this is an outright lie.

This also sets a very dangerous precedent. China is a textbook case of racial discrimination and profiling.

Additionally, these events show us that for businesses, ethics don't matter in the least and are ready to provide governments with any demand even if it goes against basic human rights.
