Hello guys.One Yahoo guy wants to sell his volswaggen Jetta 2.5.
The 2 widscreen are bad,I will need to change them.And I also have some other work to do in it..If I spend additional 300k I know the car will be up to my standard..But I don't know how easy it is to maintain volswaggen..Guys pls should I buy it?and how easy is it to maintain compare to Toyota products?please help.

Before you buy it go with ur mechanic to check the engine and gear, this is the main issue with Volkswagen products, the suspension parts is readily available in d market.

Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 is a very good ride especially engines with 2.5L. VW with FSI and TSI requires no guess work mecho. Generally i will say YES, however, if you are the lazy type in maintenance, i will advice you look away...its a sweet ride to behold though repairs must be top notch. I have used 3 Jetta starting with 1999 model, currently driving one now and hoping for the 4th which should be a 2014 model. Welcome to the German family...Safety and speed we know

u better buy it, if truly is 2.5engine because that is not easy to come by, I could have buy it, if I have the money I just collect the guy number from u,, this is golden advice, go look for Volkswagen mechanic before u buy it o, u have been warned! This is not ur Toyota o, dead battery in volks, will start a Toyota conveniently. Volks is a powerful machine.

Bro, can you please shed more light on how durable is golf 4, because I want to buy one, but a lot of discouraging words that it has plenty electrical issues and the engine is aluminum which make it prone to overheating that will damage the engine

if it's engine with iron cast that's 2.0 engine it's good buy it can't overheat, just avoid aluminum engine like 1.8, 1.6 they are aluminum,and finally find a good Volkswagen mechanic, specialize volks mechanic, Golf is a good car.

Look for 2.5 or 1.4 tsi (best bet for you)

FSI with turbo will drain a hole in your pockets
