A teacher in Rivers state has been accused of brutalizing a student for failing to submit assignment, Reports.

Twitter user, @empresswodi who shared photos of the brutalized student and the teacher said the alleged incident occurred in Emohua area of Rivers state

Teachers that are not smiling. You don't discipline by harming, the world educational system has long moved from this kind of brutal practice. As a matter of fact, it is against educational laws to beat for whatsoever reason,this man's over bearing concern to correct will land him into trouble and he is surely on his own. The child was entrusted into your care for safety as well and not otherwise.

And this man did worse during his school days. There are other ways to punish students, what if anything happens to the student or the student get witch Pity your life and your family now

He don toast the girl before and she no gree that's why he use anger take disfigure her beautiful shape and body.

As a teacher I don't support corporal punishment but sometimes it is handy as we are Nigerians and we know who we are....


I resort to cane as the very last option but I still wont flog bare skin....

You have to be diplomatic when it comes to girls especially the ones in senior classes.
They can knowingly infuriate u.

The boys are mostly predictable.


I don't support child labour as well, making students to cut the grass and sweep floors.... But it's the norm here

Did this happen on a Monday morning? I mean this particular incident.

I have my reasons for asking that question.

Back in the day, boys no dey ever show up for school on Monday if we no do assignment over the weekend(because of football and stuff).
If you dare make that mistake, then you are so gonna be f**king dead. From the school gate, RIP.

Here is the logic: Your teacher is slightly depressed that the weekend is over and he/she is back to this 'boring' job and the last thing you wanna do is tell him/her that you 'didn't do your assignment/home work'.
