Former Governor Ayodele has endorsed the current PDP Chairman of Ekiti State, Hon. Bisi Kolawole for governoship candidate in the 2022 election.

It was rumoured yesterday that Fayose singlehandedly endorsed Bisi Kolawole yesterday at his Afao home.

Fayose's Media Aide, Mr. Lere Olayinka confirmed the news on a WhatsApp platform, Ekiti Kini today. "My name is Lere Oyinka, I am supporting Bisi Kolawole" he said

Meanwhile, Professor Olusola Eleka, the former deputy governor of the state and governorship candidate in 2018 has continued to intensify his campaign for the 2022 election.

The former deputy governor, who was the preferred candidate of Ayo Fayose in the last election, appears to enjoy the support of party stakeholders and footsoldiers in Ekiti state.

Other aspirants that have been campaigning for the state's governorship election include a former governor of the state, Engineer Segun Oni, Hon. Segun Adekola, Hon. Aribisala, and Hon. Kayode Odubdun.

Although INEC is yet to announce date of the governorship election, it is expected to be held in July 2022

Fayose is playing games! Eleka is still his candidate. If only PDP can put Segun Oni forward, the election will be a walkover.

We all know Eleka is Fayose’s candidate so why are you trying to deceive some people here that Fayose is now supporting KO?

I understand you guys are trying to distance Eleka from Fayose so as to present him as independent of Fayose’s control but this is a dishonest way of going about it.
