There are two ways by which one could do this:

2. Try and locate a dentist and get a brief on what could be done before telling him/her about the need to see a dentist. Let him/her know that you
have made enquiries and that you need to visit the dentist together

If you fail to address the problem, then you stand to suffer the stench each time you are together, just make a leading comment, ‘honey your breath doesn’t seem too good, I think WE (not you) should do something about it’. Don’t just stop there; also try to drive home your point courteously to avoid misunderstanding.

Eniboy, I call a spade a spade! A good friendship would survive the blunt approach. Your friend would probably be glad it came from you, rather than someone else. The worst thing you could do in such situations, is ignore the fact your friend has a dental hygiene / health issue, by pretending the problem doesn't exist.

If I had BO, I'd prefer a friend told me bluntly, rather than a work mate, or worse, a total stranger.

If its my g'friend, i'll b straight abt it
but if its my guy, i'll buy listermint when i come visiting next, i guess he'll know what its for.

"Ore, I am beginning to notice that there is this smell each time you talk and I will suggest we see a dentist together. Haven't you noticed it too?"

This to a large extent shows that you truly care about the situation and you are thinking of a solution.

I Think the best way is that of the unknown text message. For others who prefer to be blunt. For me personally i do handle any bad remark well only if a working solution is available. Cos once u highlight the problem if i dont solve i wont ever be comfortable in your presence
