Congrats Nigerians! We Are Holding Peaceful, Free and Fair Elections!!! All reports from across the country show PEACEFUL, CALM VOTING WITH ZERO TROUBLE, ZERO VANDALISM, ZERO BALLOT STUFFING, ZERO DISAPPEARANCE OF BALLOT BOXES, ZERO SHORTAGE OF VOTING MATERIALS, ZERO INTIMIDATION OF VOTERS, ETC ETC., with all party representatives stationed at the poling booths reporting NO MAGO MAGO among INEC officials, and COMPLETE TRANSPARENCY IN THE PROCESS. kaycee0604 said: yes with this, u are 100% right Posting the image of a man that's been shot is not enough. First off, it was NOT done any where near the polling scene during these elections, and second, that could be the image of ANYONE. For all we know it's an armed robber. |

Sorry but the peace has been shattered by some animals!!! Bomb blast at a polling unit in Maiduguri A bomb blast had occurred at a polling centre at Unguwar Doki of Maiduguri metropolis and injured more than ten people. The hands and legs of a police woman who was stationed at the centre were chopped off while the two eyes of the presiding officer were flocked out by the ravaging blast which occurred around 11.50am shortly before the commencement of voting. Dozens of military personnel and anti bomb squad of the police were seen at the scene. Though the commandant of the Joint Task Force (JTF), a lieutenant colonel was seen at the scene, he did not speak to journalist. Witnesses said it will be difficult to identify the people that dropped the bomb as everybody at the scene was seen as a potential voter. “I am afraid, the police woman and the INEC man may likely die because of the intensity of the injuries they sustained,” one of the witnesses said. Most of the victims were taken to the emergency unit of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. http://www.dailytrust.dailytrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=16510:bomb-blast-at-a-polling-unit-in-maiduguri&catid=76:election-2011&Itemid=163 |

@POST Anybody who salivates about free and fair election in Nigeria is delusional. Nigeria is a situation where stupidity has taken the place of sanity whereby police and army guard the polling stations with orders to shoot without questions while election is underway. What is actually free about the election in Nigeria? I shall not even talk of fairness in place such as Nigeria. If democracy slightly resembles what is obtained in Nigeria where the movements of the people are truncated by orders of a mere local government chairman, I say shove it. Nigeria shall remain a big joke for a long time. |

Dede1: This is the most silly thing anyone born of a woman can say. You and your likes are the ones who will jump into the sea when the necessary change comes to Nigeria. Shame on you. All the TV stations in Nigeria are reporting free and fair elections and you carry your ugly mouth like IBB in 1993 attempting to scuttle something good. |

head_to_to: I shall not wish you and your miserable family the faith of Nigeria. If I attempt to do so, God shall not forgive me. Instead, I shall urge you to jump off cliff or pray you meet the exploding bombs on the way to/fro polling station. In addition, I shall suggest you make frantic efforts to under the connotations of words- “free and fair” before flaunting your ignorance in a public arena. |

I wldn't comment on the fairness of the election until the results are been released. But, from the scenario playing my area, the election is 150% free and bodacious. Thank u gej, u've proved to us that u cherish our lives |

We should always thank God for the gift of Life. It is unfortunate however, that some people who reason from their scrotal sacs sit in the comfort of their homes and blab nonsense over the web about free and fair elections, singing praises to Jonathan and the authorities whereas a lot of families are weeping and others in deep grief over the loss of their loved ones, friends, families, businesses in the course of this elections. Many have been maimed, some others spending months in the hospitals It has become and everyday affair and a norm to hear tales of woe and incidences of bomb blasts and political killings. we forget that those who fall victim all have families, children and dependents, and yet we sit here in the name of politics praising and celebrating evil, we should all stand and condemn evil irrespective of one's political affiliations. |

fried-rice said We should always thank God for the gift of Life. So what are we supposed to do? Creep back into our holes of despondency, and condemn ourselves as hopeless, and the elections a failure because less than 40 people out of 73 million voters were killed in the run-up to the election? I think YOU are the one who reasons through your scrotum. Even in the USA there are at least 50 murders every day, whether or not they are reported as 'politically motivated'. |
