Mstravelindiva:

I traveled from my home here in the US (my husband is Nigerian), so I don’t think it’s apples to apples in terms of cost.

My flight was fairly inexpensive ($400 USD RT on Fijian Airlines). The cost for lodging varies depending on the type of accommodations you want to stay in. We stayed in a resort which was pretty expensive ($250+ USD per night). So I strongly recommend Airbnb’s and hostels, because it’s extremely cost effective and they can meet anyone’s budget, and that’s my same advice with food. They had both inexpensive and expensive options depending on your palate to meet any budget.

I hope this helps. Safe travels friend!
u mean 400 dollars less than 200k... na big lie

For Dubai I booked it as a package on Expedia.com, but for Fiji I booked my hotel and airfare separately.

Bula! Fiji is fun if one is open minded. But beyond the beautiful islands and nature here and there, it's just a tropical country like Nigeria. So many Nigerian villages are even more advanced than some small cities there. They are lovely and laid back people and yes, one will find lots of tourists there. Did you get to see fire dance? Or attend a Kava ceremony?

Bula!

You are correct, there are definitely villages in Fiji that are not as advanced as Nigeria, and that’s also the beauty of travel. Nigeria is a beautiful country and I hope more consider visiting.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to attend a kava ceremony, but did see a fire dance which was really nice. Reminds me of the Luau’s in Hawaii!

Here is a picture of the Fire Dance, we saw this in the vicinity of Hard Rock Cafe at Denarau Marketplace.

Vinaka my friend and be well!

Just go to Dubai jejely, save your money please. I have never been to Fiji, but been to Dubai & Mauritius. Maldives cost die cry cry cry

Dubai is super cheap to travel to & stay, with 600k you can cover your travel & hotel bills for 2 weeks in a 3 star hotel. Note that a 3 star hotel in Dubai is like a 7 star hotel in Nigeria, so you are fine.

Mauritius is cheap as well, It will cost you a bit more like 900k for Hotel & travel expenses.

Just use Wakanow & they will give you the break down.

Sir, how true is the bold? I feel it's somewhat cheap, but I might be wrong.
