TBD:
Both The North and South depend on each others to survive no body is an island, if South African are killing Nigerians we all starting shout on top of our voice and yet we are also killing one other.
Depend on each other? Not necessarily..
Each region can be self sufficient with some readjustments and sacrifices.

The problem is the North and the South don't view each other as equals.
The north, tries to dominate the south politically, the south looks down on the north as unintelligent, and parasites.

One thing you need to know...all this is for politics sake.

Keep in mind our economy is based on the idea that we have a national cake and we have to share it among ourselves. And one of the best ways to get a big share of the national cake is by threatening tribal or religious war.

That's why I don't take the bigots on this thread or the Miyetti Allah bigots serious. Southerners may say that they can surivive without Northern Agric, but with a South that is highly dependent on imports....there would be more and more importation of food...and the SOuth would soon have to be taking loans to buy food.

Likewise, the North cannot get a good enough market elsewhere for its foodstuff. Is it from broke Niger, Burkina or Benin?

High time we gave up the bigotry and the bitterness. Nigeria is a contraption, but the alternatives are far worse.
Personally we should be willing to go back to the drawing board.
And ask the question why we are one country and why we should (or should not) continue being one.
Because what I'm seeing right now is either mindless patriotism, or separatism based on hate and tribalism.

Is continuing to be one country more advantageous to everyone or not?
What is the Nigerian identity suppose to mean?

What system would be better for everyone over the current one? Regionalism, state autonomy..?

The country was messed up from it's creation by the British, and was subsequently made worse by the previous generations of leadership.
And the current Buhari government is looking to be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

post=99501257:
We remembered how we use to live as brothers as sisters in our darling nation with these same Fulani herdsmen.
The times we gave water and food to herdsmen journeying across the nation as they go on their business peacefully,
Just with their sticks for their cattles and kettles for their prayers.
May it never be well with troublemakers in our darling nation.
May it never be well with all evil herdsmen and all their sponsors, along with proscribed ipob terrorist organizations and any other persons, group or politicians sponsoring chaos and violence in our land.

No matter all manner of violence or chaos some devilish people are causing all over.

Nigeria is ONE and that IS FINAL.

This too shall pass.....

Hmmmm, this is deep and so emotional.
All of us @ can testify to this too.
This is what politics of hatred and bitterness can do to some evil people.

It is always good and refreshing to see we still have reasonable members like you on this forum.
Thanks man.

Btw,
We no be bro o.
We are simply WE.

God bless Nigeria.

God bless my Country
