It was in 2015 that Gamawa Federal Constituency in Bauchi State elected its first illustrious son to the National Assembly, Muhammed Garba Gololo. He began his political sojourn on the tenets of sincerity and effective service delivery across the board.

His journey commenced on the strength of his unshakable and collective faith in the Almighty God, as he committed his desires, aspirations and indeed, his vision for an improved Gamawa Federal Constituency. Gololo recalls with nostalgia, the bold walk into the cloud of uncertainty, but with courage and determination coupled with support from majority of his constituents as his beacon.

He recalls with joy still, as he casts his mind back to the words of hope he received from his teeming supporters across party discipline, the pronouncements of confidence, and the incurable moments of zeal. With the spirit of patriotism at a high esteem. Gololo said: “we can rise out of underdevelopment and build a new Gamawa Federal Constituency where honesty, prosperity and confidence can, once again be our self identity.
“We can pull ourselves by the bootstraps and shake off our current frustrations and disappoints. We must recognize the need for a cohesive platform, indispensable to an effective and efficient implementation of policies and programmes of government and party (APC) respectively
“I remain most grateful to the Almighty Allah for the opportunity to have served my constituency diligently with unblemished record which I still believe I can improve upon at the most appropriate time soonest
“I have not relaxed on my oars for the success of the redemption mission I kick started in 2015 despite my temporal set back in the political journey with absolute vigor to continue with the redemptive mission for my federal constituency
“I am not unmindful of the axiom that the reward for hard work is another round of hard work. My hands remain on the plough even out of the hallow chambers of the national assembly.

I am committed, irrevocably to setting Gamawa Federal Constituency on the path of real growth and desired development never seen before
“As representative of Gamawa Federal Constituency, I was steadfast and focused despite daunting legislative challenges. I took the welfare of the people as central to all activities of my representation. I believe the happiness of my people should be the ultimate aim of my representation on their behalf.
I took my time to study the lingering problems bedeviling my constituency before embarking on the tasking initiative of a Redemption Mission. I proceeded with rigorous fiscal discipline and total dedication to identify needed interventions within my scope of assignment and capacity as a national legislator
“In my legislative sojourn, I conceived and implemented several policies tailored to ameliorating the deplorable conditions under which my people live. My stewardship has been impactful and protective of the people regardless of status and party affiliation. It has been my desire to be summoned by my constituents to present my scorecard for comparison with other claimants. As a dedicated politician, I acknowledge the huge infrastructural deficit that exists in my constituency among other challenges.

I have not relaxed until I change the narrative. There are a lot of other areas yearning for my attention. I may not have met all realistic expectations on improved living conditions but I have tried and still trying even on temporal disconnection from the national assembly
“Despite this, I am confident that posterity will read about my era (2015-2019) and feel proud of my achievements to my people and Bauchi State. The disappointed posture expressed by my constituents related to my temporal setback confirms the love and trust I enjoy from the majority of my people. I therefore cannot afford or even dream of departure from the redemptive and restoration path I started. I shall proceed with keener enthusiasm to justify the trust and confidence reposed in me by the majority of my constituents for a renewed mandate in 2023 God’s willing
“With the bold steps I took, I was able to reduce considerably the scourge of poverty, hooliganism, idleness and other associated hardships hitherto threatening the comfort of my people. I have embarked on the engagement of young men and women to skills acquisition as well as economic empowerment and improved agriculture and qualitative education. In my next mandate, I shall do better by transforming Gamawa Federal Constituency to the economic hub of Bauchi North Senatorial District”.
From the quoted statements of hope, even the best of critics and opposition will agree with the majority opinion that Hon. Muhammed Garba Gololo is the anointed leader of his people and a dependable political player ordained by the Almighty. But in God he Trusts!
