What’s Real Opportunity Anyway?

Real opportunities are like salespeople who knock on our door, or call us when we have dinner.

We don’t want to open the door because we get irritated, we feel like we know how it can get out, or we’re afraid to say “no” when they ask us a question.

The real opportunities are the ones we don’t see right away. They come by the most unexpected, mostly impotent, times.

We are so overwhelmed by other obstacles or our own opinions that we usually miss most of the opportunities that come our way.

When we see opportunities, we treat them the same way we treat these sales people – with dislikes and bad attitudes.

Our attitude toward given opportunities determines whether that opportunity will make our lives better.

How many times have you been offered a new job, to go out on a date, or to go skydiving? How many times did you say no?

Probably more times than you said yes.

All of these events are opportunities. Opportunity to experience something new, something different, something more.

Wouldn’t you like to have more experience, make more money or be happy? We all want that, but we are not willing to take required risks...
