I was working for 14k. To tell you the truth, it's like working in circle. You don't get to save anything and no time for yourself. Just quit and start a business better still, as a teacher, you can start conducting private lessons, that's where most teachers earned their money from.

God forbid I work for even 50k for a whole month as a graduate. I resigned my last job whose pay was 80k because I can't imagine the pressure I was under. I felt useless thinking with all my schooling, I can't think of a business idea that will generate an average of 3k per day as a graduate.
The problem here is that there are so many street hustle that requires very little or no capital to start and pays better but we look down on such because "we are graduates". From by calculations, menial street hustle like meat selling (beef or goat), akara frying, vegetables selling, garri etc pays more when you kill pride.

In 2012 after my nysc I started teaching in a private school 2 subject for 12k became a principal 2014 same school for 16k...got another job 2015 for 150k now hmmmmm cant remember the last time I earned 150k.....in all choose to work regardless and it's been up up so guys do something regardless.

Graduates receiving #15K salary is a clear indication that FG has no plans for the teeming youths and it's unimaginable to think that 15K will sustain anyone in this present economy.

My advice. Forget about ur certificate. Learn how to drive. I mean learn how to drive luxurious buses or trailers. There's a lot of money there. Some collect as much as 250k, like ABC, haulage trucks etc.

My Nigga, we belong to the same category buh it sucks sometimes coz the work makes u to look like illiterate no matter how u try to package urself but am earning almost 200k monthly.

I remember my first job offer 20k
Relocated to even take the terrible offer all in the name of humble beginnings. Then oga sent me msg not to resume that I didn't show ethusiasm enough that I want the job. Ethusiasm on top 20k.
I blamed my village people. But we move because I did not top my class for peanuts. Naija is hard o.
But i got 40k next, 60 then 75 at some point before I told myself no more.


Lean on God
Just make sure you are not limiting yourself and mind on top 15k. I would rather handle it as a volunteer job while consistently pushing for the best which I know I deserve. It's more about you and how much you have developed yourself to add value.

Some employers are wicked

Its actually the competition in private schools that caused it do you know in many states majority of private school pay even peas than 15k I know those that pay between 5 to 10k monthly and mostly graduates some with even masters that work there. Too many private schools so they are forced to charge cheaper school fees. The standard private schools that charge High fees are not much and even they too don't pay that much most cases they pay between 30k to 50k it is what I call the superstar private schools those that perhaps you can only see 1 or two in some States that charge higher sometimes in millions for school fees and pay from 80k upwards for teachers salaries and you will never have time for other things in this type of school and most cases they will give you accomkdation within school so you focus full attention to the job all the time.

I rather stay at home than earn 15k, when i was done with school, i worked for a month to raise a bit of capital, i had to stop the next month, we dont live to make others rich, bro yakpa go stay for house, i prefer starting my petty business with 15k than work for 30k

If you are graduate and agree on 100k job , you must be a fool, with your paper, go to Minister of education and get your attestation , since u don't have money to travel to Canada or Japan, get uae 3months tourist visa, do Sira under security supervisor level , your pay for ordinary security guide will put 320k minimum for ur hand or you start from supervisor depending on how fast u want the money , after your 1 week training look for job with your attestation and sira certificate you will get security supervisor job that will pay you half a million naira every month with transportation, medical and accommodation provided don't waste your time in Nigeria, there's no future for the youth there

In those days people use to go with empty 25kg bag or 50kg bag when they are going to the market with around 3k-5k so that they can use it to pack the plenty items they are going to come back home with.
