should the state have business in running e-hailing taxi business?

Is this not a misplaced priority?

Nah no be Lagos ?
I doubt it’s owned by the state, it is definitely a cover for some lagos landlord. I give it 3-5 years the govt will hand it over to the original owner to manage it.

I inhow many give owned corporations established in the past are still existing today? Govt is not setup to efficiently run profitable businesses especially in a corrupt country like oura

Its better the govt agencies are alive but functioning with the Naija syndrome, than nothing.
At least jobs will be created.

Thats the point.

Gov should just invest first, thins will be better.

Unfortunately for you and your ungrateful family, the same baron will continue to rule and reign over your kinsmen and women. You have options available to you if you are not happy. You can either relocate back to your stinking village or at best do the needful by committing suicide. Nonsense!

Whu not, it is normal. In as much it is operated in accordance with tax payers laws. Almost every city not even states have that kind of a thing in the US. It is just to ease transportation problems especially in cosmopolitan city like Lagos. Juat that Nigeria is another space, because you know now, the whole revenue is going to someone's pocket.

This is a misplaced priority.
This governor does not have the acumen to govern a state. How can government be involved in e hailing business. ?

It's bound to fail. Dead on arrival.

This man lacks vision to take Lagos to higher level.
With the heavy congestion on the Lagos bad roads yet this is what a governor can think of. It's sad and unfortunate.

Of course, it’s easier to copy a model than to make something new. Doing what we already know how to do takes the world from 1 to n, adding more of something familiar. But every time we create something new, we go from 0 to 1. The act of creation is singular, as is the moment of creation, and the result is something fresh and strange.

This is a statement from Peter thiel, why do we keep copying things, we should be unique. think outside the box. Abuja has Nairaxi, Lagos has this one, Uber,Taxify, Bolt, Carxie. ...

Did you miss the reference to “operators”?
This is essentially a hire-purchase scheme for private operators.

Creating JOBS is NEVER “a misplaced priority”!

My own request is that these e-hailing taxi operate only on the BRT lane to avoid congestion because as the moment the traffic is crazy on the commercial lane
