Venezuela had finally opted of World bank and IMF which means that they will be running their economic programmes they way it will suit them and no more external interferance from the two economics dictatorship of the developing countries. Why can't Nigeria toe this line and let see what will happened? Your views? |

I believe it is in Nigeria's best interest to opt out of the world bank and the IMF because these institutions destroy any country they enter. The US as at some 3 years ago was indebted to the tune of 7 trillion dollars. What mathematics or economics justifies a situation whereby a nation survives on borrowed money while the poor nations are squeezed like hell to pay the bills that countries like the US depend on. For Nigeria, we make a lot of money from crude oil that we do not need these crazy loans. Meanwhile, what is the amount involved that we must listen to these people & institutions that will do all it can to under develop nations? |

Not only that. Nigeria should start selling its crude in Naira. This will show-up value of Naira. 2010: 20% crude in Naira 2012: 30% crude in Naira 2015: 50% crude in Naira With this, we will have naira as 10Naira = $1 |
