The African property firm, Adron Homes and Homes has partnered with Remo Secondary School, Sagamu to host 2021 Ionic Festival in Ogun State.

The festival will be entertaining all secondary schools both public and primary in the state.

IONIAN brotherhood, coined from the names of the four schools that constituted it. They were Abeokuta Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode Grammar School, Ibadan Grammar School and Ondo Boys' High School. Apart from cooperation in the academic arena, they engaged in sports, vocational education, cultural cooperation, and made input into the educational policies and joint admission policies for members. They also ensured the maintenance of high standards in the schools.

The IONIAN'S social integration, as Adeyanju puts it, "was a thing nobody else had ever done until 1973 when the (Gen. Yakubu) Gowon administration established the National Youth Service Corps". Reverend Ransome-Kuti's influence grew with his involvement in the formation of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT).




In order to ensure adequate manpower training in Nigeria,a necessity which Kuti had realized since 1919, he stepped up the number of the arms of some classes in his school. The colonial education authorities kicked against it, because there were not enough qualified teachers, i.e., products of teacher training colleges.

According to the Group Managing Director of Adron Homes, Aare Adetola Olaniyi EmmanuelKing, " We are saddle with the responsibility of making peace between the parents, teachers and pupils in Ogun state and beyond through sporting, quiz competition and skills acquisition to support the administration of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun mfr, the winners shall be rewarded with meaningful prices and we believe the festival will serve many purposes between the parent, teachers in the state." He said.

The Ionic Festival is slayed to commence by March 25th 2021 with lots of excitement for participants and viewers.
