Omihanifa:
It's not about building airport, it's about how viable the airport is.

Delta state spent close to 70 billion to build an airport. At the end of the day it was concessioned away for less than 5billion naira in a 30 year deal angry

those ones na money miss road. they didnt know what to use their excess revenue to do...they would have used it 2 build world class hospitals or schools or pump it into d poor economy of delta state to alleviate the dying and poverty stricken citizens of Delta state.

At least their cousins in Anambra state have put good use of their small money 2 help their brothers who are traders in Onitsha visiting China,Japan and co 4 business.

some states in Nig just have money and lack what to do with it..example Delta state. Reason why i support FG using the money recovered from thief ibori to do projects across d country

Of what use?
Will Obaino also make the Umuleri road free from banditry? Why not expand the Delta Airport to accommodate cargo instead of spending billions on this project. Fund that could be channeled to uses such as alleviating poverty level of the common man.
How about building a more robust IT presence in Awka, Onitsha?
How about setting up manufacturing companies?

With every billion spent on this project, at least 10% goes into Obaino pockets. Imagine that!

See this one crying his heart out due to envy and frustration cheesy

Anambra international airport has come to stay and it will be Nigeria's busiest airport outside Abuja and Lagos. You are not even from Anambra but in your bitter mind you thought you are the one to advise on the location of the airport. Out of envy and frustration of how this international airport shall further transform Anambra, you are now spewing "for and against", just one person. I pity you cheesy

Does those states that have airports have better roads than Anambra? NO. Infact when it comes to road networks Anambra is among the top 5 in Nigeria.

Onitsha you talked about is a modern city with with decent road networks. Onitsha is equally the economic capital of Nigeria aside Lagos.

As for security, Anambra is top among the safest states in Nigeria.

So continue crying, we understand your pains cheesy

It is not about been a commercial city. It is still about the mentality of the people. An average Onitsha/ Anambra man is very price sensitive, especially the traders. They will rather use GUO at 15k than Arik air at 45k to fly from Lagos to Onitsha and return.Anybody living in Onitsha will gladly fly to Asaba than using that Umuleri Airport with potential armed robbery menace on the airport road. The siting of that airport in that area is a big minus. I come to Onitsha regularly and usually land in Asaba before moving to Onitsha. Why would I want to use an airport situated miles from Onitsha?Considering the way people in that area behaves, I fear the security situation along that airport road. Airport road is usually targeted by robbers to rob people going or coming from the airports. am not hating o but if you ask me, the money should have been used to fix all the bad roads in Onitsha and Nnewi and give the cities a facelift in terms of beauty and livibiliOnitsha is still far from what a modern city should be and Nnewi is even worse, with dusty roads and decrepit drainage systems.

See this one is even saying that Obiano should have used Anambra money to expand Delta airport. There's nothing frustration and envy cannot cause .hahahaha cheesy

Does your state have more manufacturing companies than Anambra? No. So tell us another jargon cheesy

Anambra is equally among the states with the lowest poverty rate in Nigeria. Do you have another envious lie to tell us ? cheesy

The site is good for Airport. Security can be provided along the airport road. Airport is not supposed to be so close to a city center.

For using Asaba or Anambra airport depend on traffic. The one with more traffic will attract more passengers. Everyone flying to Anambra is not heading to Onitsha. Many are heading to villages, the airport will provide employment, taxi hubs, hotels, shopping centers etc.
