Unfortunately, our prisons don't rehabilitate people. It only makes them more hardened. Such a young life that could have been used for productivity. I feel for him sha. He needs Jesus.

Kai.. Prison is supposed to be a place of reform. This is proof that our prisons are "failing".

The only purpose for the Nigerian prison is to keep offenders away from their victims and not to rehabilitate them. Offenders end up coming out worse than they were when they got in. Shame!

I didn't read the whole content to know about this guy but one thing I understood is that (although i'm not in support of rubbery) but releasing this guy from prison without proper orientation and at least something to empower his freedom such as support fund for him to start a normal life of his own, will leave him with no option then to get back into the wrong way for survival.

Problem is our prisons don't rehabilitate with what I have seen. No improvement and development of inmates, rather, they are kept in dehumanizing conditions that could rather play wrongly on their psyche. Sleep on bare floor, cramped in a small room, no trade or orientation for them. I mean, how do you expect these people to be better when they come out??
