Cases of men assaulting young ladies inside a public bus or taxi are now becoming too common in major Nigerian cities over the past few months. One recent incident was narrated by a lady on Twitter who share videos to prove that her female friend was injured on the face by an unruly man inside a taxi. These incidents are just annoying because many of the culprits seem not to have the slightest idea that they are committing assault, which is a crime punishable by Nigerian law.

According to media Twitter user “@Stellaachonye”, a certain unidentified guy literally assaulted and inflicted an injury on the face of her female friend who refused to talk with him inside a taxi. From the photos and video provided by the Twitter user, it could be seen that the victim suffered an injury on her face and was bleeding after the alleged assault incident.

The above video has sparked serious outrage on Twitter ever since “@Stellaachonye” posted it on her page. Several Nigerians on social media have taken to the comment section of the post to show their disapproval of the assault. What many people find annoying about the incident is the fact that the unruly man allegedly later remarked that the lady he assaulted was “ugly” and no match for his girlfriends.

As of the time of writing this report, several sources claim that both the assaulted lady and the unruly man have shown up at a Police station in Ozuoba, Port Harcourt. We do hope that a proper investigation will be carried out by the police and due justice will be served.
