On 1st April 1953, Anthony Enahoro tabled a motion in the federal House of representatives to the effect that the house accept as a primary political objective the attainment of self government for Nigeria in 1956. This motion was seen by Northern leaders as being directed against them. The North and it's leaders were not ready for self government. Ahmadu Bello, the sardauna of Sokoto, leader of government business in the North as well as leader of the NPC, said so in the House. He amended the motion to read that the house accept as primary political objective the attainment of self government for Nigeria as soon as practicable. The Southern political conscious citizens booed and jeered at the northern leaders on their way back to Lagos.

Soon after this event, the Action Group sent a delegation to the Northern Region under the leadership of Chief S. L. Akintola. The main objective of this delegation was to show that the stand of the NPC on the self government issue did not represent Northern opinion. When the delegation got to Kano, they got a very hostile reception which led to bloody riots where Hausas killed Igbos as they could not find Yorubas.

This bullshit has been going on a loooong time. Check out the Igbo killings in the North in 1935.

The whatever political advantage the north has is of the fraudulent geographical settings by the British and the WHOREible asslicking of Yorubas who are forever contented with playing second fiddle and have very little ambition.

The present settings can only favour the North because we are not practicing federalism but claim to be a federation.

Once again, Yoruba is holding the South, bei all of Nigeria back by its shameless bonding with the north who doesn't deserve to even be in Nigeria.

So Yoruba is now holding you back by working with the north?.
Igbos been dey work with north even before and after independence to sabotage the south.
The whole world knows Nigerian history except the Igbos, I don't have time for history class this morning.
Anyway cry me a river.

So the solution to the problem is to end the lie . Seriously God has blessed each region with all to be a great nation , being together is drawing us backwards

Attempts were made from the very beginning to end the lie as at when it was yet to take root but some tribe resisted those attempts for only God knows what. Therefore the first step of the solution is for that tribe to first explain why they chose to sabotage those earliest attempts. Without that, any attempt made again will amount to nothing.

After the civil war, no Igbo property was seized in the north. But where was Igbo properties labeled abandoned, seized, and never released to their Igbo owners till date, Rivers State.
Who advised the then Nigerian government that no matter the amount of Biafran pounds you're holding, that it shouldn't be exchanged for more than one Nigerian pound, Chief Obafemi Awolowo. He was responsible for the Igbos starting from the scratch after the civil war. The north has no problem with the Igbos. It's obvious that a section of the country always tries to incite the north against the Igbos.
Doyin Okupe should hold his opinion to himself.
Igbos shouldn't be the determining factor for his ambition. He should go ahead and do whatever he wants to do and leave the Igbos out if it.

So Igbos were killed in 1945 and 1953 and yet Azikiwe still joined the North, to Sabotage the inclusion of secession clause in Nigeria's constitution?.
Even Southern Nigeria's independence was delayed for two years because the North say they are not ready and grandpa Zik concurred.
Igbo man's obsession with foreign land is their greatest undoing, now look who's desperate to get out of Nigeria.

Mr Doyin, the Igbo did not kill sadauna of sokoto. its the ARMY that killed him.

Its your type that's dividing Nigeria on ethnicity.

Its your type that's giving sheikh Gumi the zeal to say its the Christian that are killing the bandits.

What a generalization of crime. Which of the Igbos? Is it South-south Igbos or Southeast Igbos? Is it Delta, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo, Abia or Rivers Igbos? Let's say it's Delta which LGA Igbos? Is it Ika North, Ika South, Ndokwa, Aniocha, Oshimili or Ukwuani LGA Igbos?

Mr Okupe should take his medication in peace

My problem is not that inconsequential Okupe exposed the already known secret but Eastern leaders who will pretend like they didn't hear anything like this and continue licking the asses of northern elites because of their own selfish interests instead of reversing the trend and focus on the East and build it's economic status and secure it militarily with our own strong and local ESN.

You guys keep brandishing that sentence "who invest in other lands more than Igbos?" like you are doing others a favour or you have an alternative in the first place. If your host communities doesn't patronize your businesses or doing business in the place is not profitable I wonder if you guys would still be there doing any business or investing in the place.

If you can easily invest the money at home and make profit the Igbo wouldn't be leaving their homes in droves to other places. You invest in other place because it is for your survival and benefits not because you are doing others a favour.

Keep quiet, brat!
Investment is a 50/50 thing.
Businesses create jobs, bring about development, and pay taxes to the government.
If the host communities don't benefit, why do state governors make their domains business-friendly by improving the ease of doing business?
Who is giving these kids internet access anyways?

I assure u, if Jesus comes from heaven to lead us, best beilve he will be corrupted.

Okupe is one of those liberal Yoruba's who give unneeded advice to a group of clannish and bigoted people. Anyone who knows Nigerian history knows that the igbos tried to take the place of the british as the neo colonialist tribe but ended up getting fvcking in the ass like doyin okupe's son. They are a proud egotistical people with Nazi like tendencies, distrustful in business and highly dubious, i have a few as friends whom i keep at arms length have brought one business deal or the order but i turn it down politely, largely the best bet is to just simply avoid them and whatever relates with them....especially if you're living abroad. maybe it's the devastation of war, maybe it's hate and victim complex passed down from generation to generation, what's obvious is that the mentality of the average igbo is truly fvcked up.

Has the Igbos ever forgiven anyone ever? A typical Igbo is consumed with daily hatred for those of different religion and tribe.

This man should concentrate on his gay son instead of trying to interpret the feelings of millions of people that he's clueless about.

Look at this bastard father of a faggo.t son opening his mouth like an orangutan. To them Niger Delta are Igbos when it comes to irrelevant things but when they want to do their mischief, they will remember to separate them from Igbos. Quite typical of Afonja, neither here nor there, always inciting violence and hiding when it erupts.
