Who Is God's Elect For Nigerias Presidency In 2011? by affrikan: 9:15pm On Apr 14, 2011
WHO IS GOD’S ELECT FOR THE NIGERIAN PRESIDENCY IN 2011?
I belong to a small group of committed Christians that believe in the Prophetic destiny of our nation Nigeria and who have been standing in prayers and intercession for our nation.
Since taking up that prayer burden, the Lord has been gracious in granting us revelations about His eternal counsels for our nation. I have also been privileged to come across many believers; some of them very influential who have not appreciated the fact that God has a definite purpose for our nation as well as other nations on the earth.
Two passages of scripture make it very clear that the nation states are not the creation of man. God designed the nation states for His own purpose: We will appreciate this truth when we put two passages of scripture side by side:
“When the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations, When He separated the sons of Adam, He set the boundaries of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel.” (Dt.32:cool
“And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us” (Acts17:26-27)
The cumulative effect of these two scriptures is that God designed the nation states with His own purpose in mind. That purpose is to use the instrument of state to provide a platform for the publication of the gospel – That God who was previously unknown to the nations should be revealed to them through the gospel. Please read Deuteronomy 32 and Acts 17 together and tell me if you arrive at any other conclusion.
Nations have risen and fallen around this purpose of God. Firstly, God revealed to Daniel the successive world kingdoms that will play on the stage of the world while He works out this purpose. Firstly, Babylon (606 BC), Medo-Persia (539BC), Greece (331BC) then Rome (31BC). Later different nation states emerged following the Roman model of the nation state as prophesied by Daniel. We had Spain, France and the British Empire as major colonial powers, until persecution of Christians by the State forced the gospel to be taken across the Atlantic and the founding of the American State. America preserved and published the gospel to nations who had not heard and supported the founding of the State of Israel in 1948, all done around the stated purposes of God.
Let us see one sentence in the verse that we have quoted that helps us to understand what God is doing – ‘and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,’
Every nation has a pre-appointed time for manifestation in other to serve the eternal counsel of God. In these last days, God has determined that Africa will preach the last round of the gospel that will lead to the return of Christ in glory. Africa’s destiny is to bring back holiness and restoration to the universal Church. In this dispensation, Nigeria and South Africa has been divinely elected to play a prominent role.
The Lord said tome in 2002: ‘Nigeria and South Africa are the twin pillars for the evangelisation of Africa. I am raising a mighty Church and a ministry from the midst of Nigeria that will proclaim the gospel of My return in glory in truth, in holiness and in the power of My Spirit.’ That is the divine mandate of God for the Nigerian nation and the purpose that is keeping us together as a nation in-spite of ourselves. This mandate is even reflected in the second stanza of our national anthem, whether those who wrote it are aware of it or not.
OUR DUTY AS CHRISTIANS:
Christians are o-workers with God in carrying his vision and fulfilling His purposes on earth. That is what the Christian commission is all about – From God’s call to Abraham, to Israel and the commission of Christ to believers in Matt.28:19-20, the call is the same.
It is therefore a grave thing for Christian to work and vote against the purposes of God either out of ignorance, omission or commission.
The bible is the manual for life. It has a guideline for everything that has to do with the conduct of human affairs including voting and performing our civic rights. David wrote, ‘Concerning the works of men (human affairs) by the word of your lips (The Bible), I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer’ (Ps.17:4)
GOD’S ELECTION GUIDELINE:
God’s guideline for choosing leaders is contained in the 17th Chapter of the book of Deuteronomy:
“When you come to the land which the Lord your God is giving you, and possess it and dwell in it, and say, ‘I will set a king over me like all the nations that are around me,’
you shall surely set a king over you whom the Lord your God chooses; one from among your brethren you shall set as king over you; you may not set a foreigner over you, who is not your brother.
But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for the Lord has said to you, ‘You shall not return that way again.’
Neither shall he multiply wives for himself, lest his heart turn away; nor shall he greatly multiply silver and gold for himself.
“Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the one before the priests, the Levites.
And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes,
that his heart may not be lifted above his brethren, that he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left, and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children in the midst of Israel.” (Dt.17:14-20)
There are three key criteria given to believers in making their choice in this scripture:
i. They must vote the person God has called
ii. They must vote one of themselves
iii. They must vote the person least likely to lead the nation back into idolatry
To make your choice for the presidency of this nation, the first question you must answer is this: Who among all the people has the call of God for the position at this time in our history?
CONFUSION IN THE BELIEVERS CAMP:
This question has become more difficult to answer since Pastor Bakare’s strange alliance with General Buhari. This is where we must use the provision of God for this season, especially the prophetic ministry. God says clearly that the end times will be dark days and days of confusion. But He says in the mist of the darkness we will see visions, dream dreams and hear His word clearly. (See Is.60:1-3; Jl.2:28-32)
Hear now the word of the Lord to me on this matter:
“There are vortexes of evil in the world. The one that concerns African nations is in the Atlantic Ocean. However, Nigeria has been connected to the Throne of Leviathan (A fallen angel-Ps.74:13-14) in the Bermuda Triangle. This throne must be addressed and neutralised for the President to operate in the measure of freedom that will allow him to run Nigeria aright.
If an Ishmaelite ascends the throne of Nigeria (at this time), there is something in his foundation that will connect easily to this throne thus un-doing the mileage gained so far.
Jonathan is clearly My choice for your nation NOW. He is a tool in My hands. He does not have all the answers but there is a softness and innocence about him that will give Me room to pave the way for the David that is coming. Help the elders to understand what I am saying now. Some of them have developed waxes in their ears through years of doing their own things that make them stay with their fixed positions even when I am saying a different thing. I am involved in Nigeria now and your nation will never slip out of My hands again.”
The Lord said this to me on 21st March 2011. When the Lord gives me a strong word like this I always seek confirmation through His written word, the bible and also confirmation of other prophets. Apart from the scripture I quoted in Dt.17, the Lord used more than three anointed servants of His to confirm this word that he said to me. If you want to read all the details, you can e-mail me through blackhorserider2011@gmail.com or write on my wall.
MY CHARGE: The word of God admonishes us not to despise words of prophecy. (1Ths.5:20). We must judge or test it (1Ths.5:21; 1Cor.14:29) If it is approved, we must hold unto it and act on it. (1Ths.5:21b).
Don’t take me by my words. After all, who am I to say such things on such a sensitive matter? Please take this back to God in prayers and seek Him until you find His will on this subject. Don’t go to polls casually. If you do, you might like Esau be trading away your birthright. If I speak my own words it will come to nothing, but if I speak the word of God, who can stop it?
General Buhari and Pastor Bakare are very good men. We all know their pedigree. But they are not the people that God has called to occupy the throne of Nigeria now. Goodluck Jonathan is the elect of God for now. He is not the main thing God has in mind in Nigeria, but He will pave the way through making strategic reforms for the emergence of the main thing. The Lord said that a David is coming to the throne that will do His will and rebuild the waste places in Nigeria.
My prayer for you is in Eph.1:18- That your eye of understanding be enlightened that you may know what is the hope of His calling and also understand His will in this matter.
You are in our prayers.
Shallom,
Yours in Christ,
Affrikan.
