Christians in Kwara has sent a strong warning to the Kwara State Government and the Muslim community in the state, stating that they will not allow the use of hijab in their schools, neither will they succumb to any pressure and allow hijab to be used in the missionary schools.

The warning was sent across by the President of Kwara Baptist Conference, Reverend Victor Dada. He told the governor of the state, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and the Muslim community not to interpret the gentleness of the Christians as weakness.

He accused the Kwara State Government of being the government of the Muslim, by the Muslim, and for the Muslim.

In the report which was made by Daily Post, the man of God said that their schools are not public schools, but are funded by grants.

He also claimed that in the past 15 years, the state government has not employed teachers for Christian Religious Knowledge, while teachers for Islamic studies are only employed.

He said that the policy of giving grants started in 1974, and ever since then, the government has not designed any uniform for the schools.

He said that designing of uniforms has always been the responsibility of the school, be it mission or community.

The problem had snowballed into violence, and the Muslims and Christians were seen throwing stones at each other, and several people were injured in the process.

The Christian leaders had insisted that they will not allow hijab to be used in their schools, as that is not the heritage of the school which as established by missionaries years ago.

But the state government had ordered that willing students should be allowed to wear hijab to school.

But we hope that a peaceful resolution will be gotten soon, to prevent the problem from getting more serious than this.

Where is the bigotry in what i wrote? Look for bigotry in you and your pastors.

The schools are no more missionary schools. Missionary schools do not need tax payers money to function.
The schools are public schools and we'll keep using our hijab in those schools runed with tax payers money.
