Military Pensioners and NoKs of Dead Personnel are the Unfortunate Victims.
1. The amount of money that flows into the MPB is enough to take good care of military pensioners and the benefits of NoKs of deceased personnel, including full payment of Minimum Wage Consequential Adjustment and Security Debarment Allowance (SDA). But the money is massively looted and shared by MPB and its boss MOD with no consequences to fear. They operate like a drug cartel. ed-n339m-pension-fraud/?amp=1 ), lend credence to the age-long, perennial massive looting and sleaze perpetrated in the MPB with no accountability.
2. For how long shall military pensioners remain docile and completely helpless in seeking for remedy? My previous efforts to raise alarm and attract attention to our plight were countered by officially-engineered gang-up of some pensioners' leaders with diversionary plots and pleas for "Dialogue" with MPB and MOD, the very authorities that suck our blood and are ever ready to "settle" and cajole a few leaders to neutralize the outcry.
3. I wish to reinstate that the very people feeding fat from looting and sharing our commonwealth cannot be the ones entrusted to investigate and remedy the situation.
4. Only Mr President can give directive for a Forensic Audit of MPB (which is long overdue) by a reputable independent Forensic Audit firm. We must seek for that.
5. Military pensioners, meanwhile, should be prepared for a mass protest at Aso Rock gate, Abuja, to draw the attention of the Presidency to our plight and pain.
6. Mobilization and preparation should commence immediately. Those in distant locations should prepare to raise fund to send representatives for the protest. Date will come up when we are getting ready.
