How Nairaland Lost Her Virginity And Pride. by floss(m): 1:07pm On Mar 24, 2021
I have taken time to research on trends, topics and comments in Nairaland I noticed that as the day goes by the open forum keeps on going down in the area of sane members and sane moderators..
I am certain SEUN isn't happy but some how doesn't know the right measures to take in separating sane members from their insane counterparts and this is really affecting Nairaland Forum. 10 to 15 years ago Nairaland use to be a nice forum but I can't say the same now. So many people have resolved into using the forum to pour out their daily frustrations, anger, rage, cruelty and savagery on other members on any slightest provocation and some use it for practising all forms of tribal abuse and racial abuse even within regions, groups and country, political views and differences helping to propel this abnormalities to limelight. Those of us that started visiting Nairaland Forum far back 2008, 2009, 2010 up to 2013 will understand what I am talking about. So many educative topics, comments and views shared, even when their is differences in idea and opinion, it is criticized constructively with out adding abuse.
For those that see what I am talking about abit weird can pick any topic that was posted far back 2010 or any year close to that period and check the richness of Nairaland and understand what I mean by "She Lost her Virginity and Pride". From my research on different trends, topics and comments posted recently I noticed the following;

1. Majority of Nairaland members are Nigerians only few are members from other countries.
2. Majority of Nigerians in Nairaland are mostly from the West(yorubas) and the East(igbos), then few are Southerners and very few Northerners.
3. Nigerans in the forum takes delight in the fall of other regions, groups and ethnicity.
4. Nigerans in the forum spits their leaders online but hug them when they meet them in person.
5. The Nigerian members washes the dirty image of their country to the world, even aiding foreign members to mock them.
6. All unfriendly comments and abuse you see on Nairaland, check the signatures of those members, you will find out they are Nigerians.
7. Nigerian members always show to the world that there is no love between the Igbo man, the yoruba man and the Hausa man.
8. Nigerian members always stay united only when there is a common foreign enemy.
9. In Nairaland, the moderators are not neutral.
10. Nairalanders enjoy bad news, irrelevant topics and celebrity bullshits, majority of all the trends hitting front page make up that.

Back to where I started, I think SEUN needs to go back and look at his rules. Because if anyone that is observant will notice that the rules below are not meant to be kept rather they tend to encourage the defaulters of such rules, from the beginning to the end. Below are the rules;

Please Observe The Following Rules:

Yes.
As 70% of your post is about the origin of the members so I'd like to know.
I would say Ghana if I were to guess

You ended the post by doing the very same thing you are complaining about!
Nigeria is a comedy station..blah blah blah..when God wants to laugh...
God's P.A......
There is no perfect system.on the earth! We black people, we complain too much!
We see the ill in everything!
With all the good works and connections being made on NL, you decided to see this.
Facebook if full of scammers, why aren't you lamenting?
IG is a hub for soft porn, why aren't you talking?
Some of your views are reasonable, but the overall pessimistic idealism is way off!

Launch your own platform if you are that dissatisfied! Maybe, complain LAND?
