When school resumed, i happily returned to school only to discovered that my room was buckled by this useless thieves... and they successfully cart away with all my properties, the only thing they didn't take was my trolley, credentials and textbooks. This is making two weeks now since the incident occurred, i have not been myself, so many thoughts running through my mind, i am just being strong.

People are really passing through alot, especially those without helper.

Sorry for the loss bro. The knowledge still stay fresh as I can relate.
But the sad thing about this punishment both from the books or jungle justice is that they are not apportioned when needed, for example where is Evans the billionaire, what happened to Government officials cut red handed? People who stole public funds and our taxes, people who mismanaged resources.
I barely see any punishment thrown on them.

If those people high up there are not taken what is the motivation in news that they sentence one criminal we know not to death by hanging. The beneficials are those who live or trade within the environs where they operate.

I strongly recommend that this judge should be contracted with cases involving corrupt politicians..

because they don't only need peace..
but they need rest too

not for phone theft but for armed robbery

A prison sentence is adequate if they didn't

This judge must be a very lazy man. You cannot condemn a person to death because of robbery. The worst he can do here is a long jail term of say 10 years.
Death sentence is reserved for murderers only!

Moreover what have you done to the public office holders, civil servants and private sector workers who you know that are living way beyond their legitimate income for a country of N30,000 minimum wage? If you have not carried out jungle justice on the rogues that you are related to in one way or another, why do you want jungle justice for petty thieves

I'm not minimizing it, as ARMED robbery carries with it a significant threat to life.. However, I guess I just do not really like the idea of capital punishment especially when there was no life lost (this excludes when it is clear that the perpetrator had the intent and/or made the attempt to commit murder). A long sentence might be better, but, is that really better in Nigeria

Our justice system is faulty, politicians that stole more than that were not given life sentence, instead maybe two or three months in prison and they will be released.
