A lot of controversy has been said and a lot more to be said on the issue of childbearing and which child is more important. Some would side with the male and some with the female. The reason for this belief differs for everyone and varies from each culture. Certain people believe that the male is more important because he continues the family bloodline through reproduction, and carries on the family name therefore achieving an immortality of sorts, while some believe the female is more important because she is like the incubator for the future generations.
