The debate between iPhone and Android continues to rages on as new smartphones are being released every now and then. Oftentimes, I ask myself this question like why do people crave for iPhone over Android?

What is so special about iPhone? But I believe I am not the only one on this table asking this question; Smiles…. I believe there are many more who still wonder why and they want answers to justify this.

But in my curiosity and in my quest to know exactly why; I got to know some interesting facts and features iPhone offers over Android that makes people crave for it.

First, Continuity Feature
When I say continuity feature, I mean uninterrupted connection in transferring data from across your devices

For instance, let’s say you have MACOS or IPAD, you can copy text from your iPhone and edit it or use it on your MacOs or Ipad.

Universal clipboard allows you to copy data on iPhone and it will be useable on your other Apple devices. It is not even limited to text alone, you can also transfer pictures & documents seamlessly within seconds, view and edit them on your MAC.

Second, Seamless and quality Apps
Apple is known for its quality, probably that is the reason why iPhone always comes out more expensive than Android. The App store contains a variety of Apps with better integration with the phone’s core services and runs a bit smoother and cleaner on IOS than on Android. App like Apple pay, FaceTime and iMessage.

No Bloatware!
Unlike Android which comes with preinstalled Apps such as Google play music, Carlcare, PalmChat, and many more annoying Apps when you power it on at first time after purchase.

iPhone will never come with preinstalled App when you boot it up for the first time. It is clean from the very start which is an advantage when it comes to storage space.

Quicker software updates
Even on older iPhone devices, your Apple phone will receive the latest versions of IOS updates for a very long time and the software updates are instant and hassle-free resulting in an amazing experience throughout your usage period.

Android lacks on this feature because after 1 to 2 years of releasing an Android phone, you will stop getting an update and is really a big issue when you spend so much to purchase a smartphone and you’re being left behind few years after

Consistency & Ease of use.
People enjoy using products that are convenient, efficient, and less frustrating. And Apple has done a great job in keeping things really simple enough for its users to understand the operation and interface of the device.

The UI (user interface) and UX (user experience) allow users even laymen to figure out how to use the device without getting confused.

Less Security breaches

To my experience not that androids are not good too but ios works better, the apps are fluid and the user experience is great. Ios camera wins any android out there. Some might say Samsung and huawei got better cameras but their picture quality sucks when using apps like snapchat or instagram. On instagram u can easily identify photos taken with ios but all other androids look too identical u can see the excess lighting and inferiority in the pics. All my android friends whenever they need to take some important photos they have to use mine and i send it via WhatsApp to them, all iOS users are always doing this for androids users. Androids have alot of catching up to fo compared to ios

This is not 2013. People don't borrow iPhones to snap again. Things have changed a lot. All your friends are using cheap Android phones. Tell them to go for flagship Andriod phones. All iPhones are or were once flagships. No all Andriod phones are flagships.

cheap androids? No one out there is using nothing less than 3years old androids coz androids don't offer updates so android users need to keep buying new phones every year lol. Ios is still giving iphone 6s update and iPhone 6s camera can rival most flagships now. Almost all IOS device are flagship what do you expect, use Android flagship and see. You and I know iPhone users edit their pictures else it will not look nice. I believe my oppo a73 can compare with any iphone camera.

Point 1 can't be argued. To the others..

Quality apps. Lmfao. Android have wack apps or what? Each OS has a couple of apps which are unique to them, some apps you'd find on iOS and not Android and vice versa

Bloatware. Bruh! Have you seen any Pixel phone? When we're comparing, at least, we should use the flagship embodiment of both OS. Android on Pixels are as clean as Bleep! Only the essential apps are pre-installed.

Quicker software updates. As I mentioned earlier, let's be fair in comparison, don't mention flagship iOS and place them side by side with infinix and tecno. In terms of updates, pixels receive at least 3years of updates as soon as they are ready to be released. Other flagship androids too like samsung receive their updates about a month or two after release.

Consistency. Ease of use. On God!! Android OS is so smooth and I dare say better than iOS now. I think most assumptions in this post were based on stereotypes of Android. Just pick up a pixel and see for yourself what I'm saying. The gestures, the transitions, the UI/UX. Bruh, see that big line at the bottom of your iOS screen and compare to the one on Android 10/11. Check the call screens on both phones. Do you have bubbles? Abeggi!

I think these are enough to make you see the light. Apple phones are not so much better than Androids like the used to be now. They arguably (in fact, very arguably) are still top in terms of hardware and design. But software belongs to Android. At least in my opinion.
