Southerners Will Starve Of Food If Hausas Get Attacked Again" - Gov. Yahaya Bello.

Few hours ago, the governor of Kogi State, his Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, took to his official Facebook page to share the video of an interview he had with BBC Pidgin recently.

In the interview, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello made it known that the undying misunderstanding between the Northerners and Southerners will cause more harm than good. He noted one of the effects of the misunderstanding saying that, "the Southerners will starve of food when next the Northerners get attacked." After saying this, he gave reasons saying (a bit paraphrased):

"The Northerners will be angry when they get attacked, so they wouldn't supply foodstuffs to the Southerners. On the Southerners end, they wouldn't supply crude oil to the Northerners." I think this would make it a collective loss.

Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello also made mention of the steps he has taken so far regarding the crisis ensuing between the north and south. He said President Muhammadu Buhari told him to intervene because Kogi State, which wasn't as peaceful as it is before Yahaya's emergence, has become reasonably peaceful. So, the method he used in settling the disputes should also be used in settling scores between the Northerners and Southerners.

Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello said he had a talk with the leaders of the northern youths and the southern respectively and finalized that their demands will be met by President Muhammadu Buhari sooner or later

Is this a threat or what? Yeye Bello should shut up his dirty smelly mouth. trying to please his fellow terrorists thinking they will make him president. I also blame we the southerners for allowing this terrorist and almajiri infested north to toss us around anyhow

Southerners have been feeding themselves without depending on the north. You guys are just trying in vain to make it appear that the south depends on the north for food.

The south have rice, yam, pepper, tomatoes, beans, plantain, maize, cassava, potatoes, cocoyam, palm oil. Just mention any essential food item.

Onion? We can do without your onions and carrots.

But the north will not leave the south alone because without us, you guys have nowhere to sell your products. See how their attempts to sell to neighbouring countries failed.

Mind you, we southerners are tired of these northern farm products which are full of fertilizers and herbicides. Not to talk of how they spoil market here for our southern traders by making their things sometimes to cheap.

So, let the north keep their food and let's see who can survive without the other.

Once the herds of cattle no longer trample on farms, the people will go back to their farms to produce sufficient food us.

Some weeks back, you lots didn't even bat an eyelid to export your food items to Niger, Benin republic & Cameroon, y'all didn't even care if you got money value for the goods(ofcourse they could even have them free just as long as it doesn't get to Southern Nigeria) but what happened? When microorganisms had started performing wonders lol, most of those food items are very perishable, Una talk sey road no good to come South.. Traders had to go to Cameroon to buy tomatoes and the sorts, sold them at high prices.. Those who couldn't afford it, found alternatives/substitutes, some got used to the fact that it wasn't readily available at that time & learnt to cook and do without them.. God pass una, we'll definitely survive as always
